How is it possible (Edited)

"What are you saying?" Jeff thundered into the office hitting his desk with his fist. The men inside the room almost cowered in fear despite being known as his elite team. Jeff stood up and took short steps around the table to meet them. "What are you saying?" he asked again looking at each of them in the eye.

"Sir, we are unable to find anything. Young miss has no record of speaking about her music career," answered the bravest of the brave.

Jeff's eyes narrowed dangerously. "You want to tell me that my wife is a liar?" he asked with an ironic smile on his face. The men knew better than to insist especially when that smile was on him.

"We're sorry sir."

"Don't give me your pities. My wife wants answers by today evening. What am I supposed to tell her, that I failed?" he shook his head like it was a taboo and paced around. "I don't care even if you have to kidnap her best friend to make sure she talks. I want answers before noon," he checked his watch. "You have four hours to do that now, scram!" when his men left he sunk into his chair.

How wicked he was. But did Amy really spell the rules of the game, he was very sure she didn't. Well, she might not know how wicked her husband was. He took a bottle of water and took sips. Just the thought of her driving him to work every morning elated him. He didn't even know where the happiness came from but he didn't care. He was going to win the challenge by all means.

"Bro!" he shook his head as his eyes acknowledged the person in front of him, they dimmed in annoyance immediately. "I have been calling you for a long time, what are you thinking?" Jason asked watching his brother carefully.

"None of your business, why are you here anyway? Thought the environment didn't suit you well in this country." He was evidently mocking him.

Jason snorted and made himself comfortable on the grey sofa in the corner of the office. "Yes, it didn't suit me but I came only because of one person." Jeff's eyes widened at his words. Was his brother reconsidering getting married or was he serious about some girl? Finally, he wasn't dying before he witnessed a miracle.

"Who?" he asked casually as he typed something in his laptop acting like his answer didn't concern him when in the real sense; damn his brain was jumping up and down in impatience and excitement.

"Amy," he stopped typing and slowly looked at him.

"What do you mean by Amy?" he didn't know why but he felt apprehensive.

Jason checked his nails. "I was bored and she begged me to come back."

His world came to a halt. Amy begged him to come back, the same Amy who couldn't hold a proper conversation with him without it ending up in an argument. Why? She had never even used her phone to call him. He even doubted she had his number, and here Jason was saying that she begged him. No, he was angry. What did Jason have that he didn't? He gave her everything; he was the CEO of the company managing all the company's wealth and property. He lived under the same roof as her. He gave her his black card. What did Jason have except for his abnormal laziness and childish behaviors?

"If you have nothing to do, please go back to your grandfather's house and leave me alone." He turned to his laptop and continued doing what he was doing, masking his feelings well.

The door shut behind him and Jeff bolted up. Was he no longer charming? He rushed to the mirror to check his face. Everything looked fine. He ran his fingers through his hair, smooth and silky, and checked his outfit, classy and manly. No, maybe there was nothing wrong with him, Amy must be blind, he consoled himself.
