4. The start of his legend

Some benefits do come with always being alone and not cared for.

He doesn't even have a maid while being the son of the strongest house under the royal family of the Mystic Kingdom, the strongest country on the central continent, the strongest continent of the mortal realm.

Everyone should be happy being born with such a high starting point. But this continent being the strongest isn't some lucky reason like having purer qi than the rest.

No. It's just that since the beginning of the history of the continent, everyone has been crazy about cultivation and martial arts. Way more than the inhabitants of the other continents.

This comes with some consequences. While not everyone is like that because exceptions always exist, being strong means you rule everyone below your strength.

Strong rules everything in every realm, but it's especially so for the central continent.

All nobles under the kingdoms are everchanging because they don't keep their title through hereditation like normal kingdoms of other continents. They keep it through strength. Martial competitions are organized every 10 years by the royal families of every kingdom of the strongest continent to allow anyone to challenge any families to hopefully claim their title and assets.

But aristocratic families do have an advantage of course. All of the money they make allow them to groom better talents with magical herbs, potions, and elixir than some random peasant on the street that would want to claim noble land.

Anyway, back to Ace. The benefits that come with him being abandoned are that no one will look for him, care about him or notice that something is off.

Ace reviewed all of the memories of the techniques he's gotten. The ancient pleasure technique is currently unusable, as he doesn't even have a maid that he could try it with. Only the ancient dual dao technique is usable, and that's what he decided to try.

"Alright. The ancient dual dao technique it is." Ace thought out loud.

"Since there's no prerequisite to practice this technique, I'll just sit in a lotus position and start." he followed.

With no sound around in his run-down courtyard, he started reciting in his head the incantations that will allow his body to attract the qi to his body.

Under the silver moon illuminating the calm night that could be seen through the cracks of his humble abode, only the sound of Ace's steady breathing could be heard.

But invisible to the naked eye, the yin qi overly present from the cold nature of the night was swirling around and being absorbed by Ace's body.

In this amazing state where his dried-up meridians and dantians were being rejuvenated after ten whole years of abandon, the skinny boy lost complete track of time and reality.

To him, it all seemed like a long dream.

This lasted until a whole day before he woke up.

Ace stood up and stretched. He was feeling really light.

"Wow! I'm feeling really great! Probably the best I've ever felt!" He sadly thought out loud.

He examined his body, and while he still looked malnourished, he didn't look as bad as before. He looked at a broken piece of polished bronze in the corner of his cabin that acted as a mirror.

His newly gained vigour made his handsome face and his signature long white hair of his that he gained from his mother look pretty good he thought to himself.

But then he noticed something. His black eyes become golden.

He thought for a moment, but since he didn't know why, he just attributed it as a side-effect of practicing his cultivation technique.

Plus, he looked even more handsome now.

"My looks will definitely help me at least not straight up get on the bad side of girls when I meet them and help me court potential dual cultivation partners." He thought with a grin on his face.
