Chapter 15

My dad carried me back. I was too weak and tried to walk on my own. My legs felt like jelly. Only when my dad carried me back did I notice the other people who were there. That was great. I had witnesses to my complete mental break down. My head laid against my dad's shoulder. Luckily, he was strong enough to carry me. My hands laid cradled in my lap.

"Anna!" my mom exclaimed in relief. I felt her hand on my shoulder. She was next to my dad, walking with us. I saw glimmers of flashing red lights. There stood an ambulance in the parking lot of the school. Only then did I realize that I ran four miles. That was bizarre for me. "They found her!" a male's voice exclaimed. Probably for the people who were helping looking for me and for the people waiting in the parking lot. There were a few students staring. I was too tired to care about them. "It's ok honey. You're ok," my mom whispered. "Anna!" I heard a familiar voice yell accompanied by running footsteps. It was George.
