The door flew open and in came a hot tempered lady with red face and in hurried steps she approached her target.
Before one of them could react, Gladys' hair was pulled backward in a harsh manner by her strong grip.
"How dare you!"
Were the hurtful words that came out of Rosabel's lips as more tears flooded out of her eyes.
"Rosabel!" Isadora called out her name in shock and they tried to pull her away but Celeste came at the right time to pull her off his sister.
Gladys stood on her feet in surprise, the hot tea from her cup had spilled on her new dress and it burned her skin.
Rosabel struggled hard trying to break free from Celeste's strong hold so she could grab Gladys' hair again.
"You're so selfish!"
"How many men will you have?"
"I will tear that face of yours!"
"That face you use to bewitch men"
Rosabel threw hurtful remarks at Gladys' face out of anger and sadness along with the heartbreak she suffered.
Isadora stood in front of Gladys in a protective manner, blocking her from Rosabel's view. Gladys stood stunned by the turn of event. Her eyes burned in anger and hurt at Rosabel's words.
"You play innocent yet you go about bewitching men with your looks!" Rosabel went too far, even Celeste got enraged by what she said. He pushed her aside and she stumbled, nearly falling to the floor.
This caught her off guard and she turned to face Celeste who glared furiously at her.
"How dare you talk that way to my sister!" He roared and she cringed in fear.
Her face was stained with her tears and her hair loosened, half falling to her shoulders. Her eyes were wide and slightly red as she stared back at the infuriated Celeste.
It was a complete mess and Rosabel didn't want to be on the receiving end so she spoke her mind, questioning again.
"Why? Of all people why does it has to be her!"
She half yell half screamed, she didn't even care how she looked anymore.
Gladys' eyes slowly went wide at what Rosabel said, her brain was slow to process everything. She whipped her head at Celeste.
Celeste gritted his teeth, without saying a word he approached Gladys, held her by the wrist and pulled her along with him.
Gladys didn't stop him because she was astounded and lost of words, her mind seemed frozen and in a daze as her feet followed him.
She stared at the back of his head silently and slowly anger began to rise up in her chest at what just happened some minutes ago.
Celeste furiously rushed out of the building while still holding his sister's wrist tightly but not tight enough to injure her. Servants passing by had to stop and stare at them in confusion as to why he was angry and pulling his sister who absentmindedly followed.
They went out through the entrance and while descending the stairs, Gladys pulled her hand out of his grip.
This made him stop and face her. She had a deep frown and he could tell she was pissed off.
They stared at each other intently, one glaring at the other with pure distaste.
What went through Gladys mind couldn't even be put to words, she was very upset and tears clouded her eyes.
"So...I'm..."
She couldn't even bring herself to say it, he made her believe he was in love with someone else but who would've thought it was her he loved.
First it was Theon, now him...
Worst of all Celeste did it in a wrong way, telling Rosabel first instead of her. At least Theon approached her like a gentleman.
"So I'm the lady..."
Celeste held her serious gaze briefly before looking away, he cursed himself internally.
"Let's not do this here Gladys, please."
"If not here then where? You messed up!"
Gladys angrily yelled at him in a frantic way. Her gaze was similar to hot coal, she could burn him if she wanted to.
"Am sorry..."
"Sorry doesn't fix anything Celeste!"
With that she stormed down the stairs past him in anger. What Rosabel said to her still replayed at the back of her mind.
Celeste followed in hurried steps before cornering her and standing in front of her to her displeasure.
"Gladys I can explain." He said.
She mumbled incoherently to herself out of anger and his eyes went wide, realizing what she was doing.
"Sort out this mess before you speak to me."
She instructed him after she had mumbled some spells. She walked past him and when he tried to follow her, he realized she casted a spell on him, rendering him immobile.
"GLADYS!"
He called out her name, stressing it. Gladys simply got into the carriage with the help of her coachman who did his work. He shut the carriage door after her before rushing back to take the reins and make the horses move.
"F*CK!"
He cursed in anger while grinding his teeth as he waited for the spell to wear off after ten minutes.
When a spell was casted by a sorceress or wizard it couldn't be reversed, that was why every witch or warlock were always on their toes.
If only he had sensed it when she was about uttering the spell, he would have stopped it and used it against her.
Taking a deep breath, Celeste casted a spell and waited for it to take effect.
Before ten minutes could be reached, he was able to move. Instead of going back to apologize, he nonchalantly found his way out, through the gates.

She lifted her tea cup up, holding the handle carefully with her pinkie finger slightly raised up as she brought it to her lips and took a little sip from it.
When she had taken a few sips, she placed the tea cup back on its saucer before looking at the breathtaking man seated before her on a four legged fancy but expensive chair who also watched her silently.
A smile lit his face and she felt at ease, so she returned the smile back.
"You seen tense, lady Georgiana." He pointed out and she smiled nervously.
"I am, your grace." She told the truth, not hiding how she felt.
"Would you like to take a stroll with me?"
He was polite and very careful with the way he spoke to her. Theon found her to be an open lady, hiding nothing and she was nice and very polite as well.
"I don't want to impose on you my lord, I'm very much ok here."
"Are you sure?" He confirmed and she nodded her head.
"So what would you like us talk about?"
He decided to engage her into talking, he tried his best not to offend her because she was too timid but strong minded and very pretty.
"You," came her straight forward reply and he smiled charmingly at her for being straight.
"What about me?"
"Your powers," came her suggestion and he nodded with a smirk on his lips, no woman had ever asked him such question.
"I myself don't know much, am still learning." He answered truthfully and Georgiana gave him a 'I understand' smile with a nod.
"May I know what you find interest in?"
He wanted her to feel more relaxed and open, it was obvious she was trying to be good.
"I find interest in a lot of things my lord."
"What are they?" He became serious and curious of her interests. Georgiana inhaled softly before exhaling while listing them in her mind first, this made Theon smile at her behavior. She looked adorable.
"Are they that much?"
He had a surprised look on his face and she chuckled before answering.
"I find interest in playing the piano, the flute and violin." Theon arched an eyebrow in surprise at her achievements. She really went far.
"Are you serious?" He asked to be sure because it made him wonder.
Georgiana nodded her head rigorously with a wide grin. Theon smiled because he finally made her loosen up.
"I can play for you if you want, my lord."
She proposed and he agreed to it. Theon was a person who never liked to disappoint someone, he was gentle, kind and very caring. He always put others first before him.
As much as he wanted to be with Gladys, he knew there were limits and last night she bluntly made it known to him.
Georgiana was a wonderful lady and very beautiful to any man's eyes but he didn't see her that way, he liked her but had no feelings for her. She was better off with another man than him.
Standing up, he took her by the hand and they left the garden and walked along the veranda. At first she was taken aback when he had offered her his hand to take.
A blush colored her cheeks and Theon couldn't help but smile at how she was aware of him.
"Your majesty?"
"Yes?"
"When will another carnival be held for this year?"
Theon narrowed his eyes for some seconds, trying to recall when last they had a carnival. Last year they had one which was very unlike them. Over the past years they had a carnival twice in a year, celebrating the existence of wizards, witches and warlock.
"Soon," came his thoughtful reply to her question.
