23 - Erlezos Erizos vs. Quizarmukae 2

Quizarmukae now standing fully snarled at me then stepping back it raised its head and uttered out a deep howl. The sound was arduous and sorrowful. Like a cry of despair, a wail of pain beyond measure. For some reason the cry made me feel a grave sense of fear and despair. It felt like I would die if I remained there. No not like I would, it was certain. I would die.

[We're So Fucked]

Not knowing what it was doing I acted quickly. From my left palm energy flowed stretching down and forming a pike.

[MANA SPEAR]

I paused and then looked back wondering how I was supposed to make this look easy, after all, I needed to look dependable to the villagers. At the same time, the howl ended and I looked back at it.

The same darkness that had been spreading over it's body and reformed its head had now spread out like a smog of vapour seeping to the ground and turning the floor into a well pit of black smoke. It was like it crested it's own domain of darkness.

[Domain!!]

A grin lit up my face even far more vibrant than the earlier faked one. Of my heart had been beating before from growing dread and fear, now it was excited. Plus with my idea I could kill two birds with one stone. One bird being quite literal.

" You all can start fixing up the town. I'll just bring him somewhere else to avoid accidents"I shouted back to them. The crowd though watching from behind were already feeling quite grateful that I intended on moving it away as the sight of the thing was already causing some panic amongst them. Gerasmine herself could feel divers from watching the twisting mass in the black smog.

Without waiting for any affirmation I snapped my finger and watched as a tear was formed above the shifting mass of darkness. It slowly expanded my mind working on it's interior as I watched the writhing black cocoon of arms and faces. All the faces writhing in agony the hands twisted grotesquely as if searching and groping at the other as if inching for something to grasp.

The cocoon dissolved just as the space I was creating within the tear stabilized. Without a glance back I shot forward as the cocoon slowly revealed the new form of the Quizarmukae.

My fist slammed into it's jaws lifting it clear of the ground and up into the air but the force not enough to carry it all the way into the tear I surged more mana into the mana spear I was still wielding in my right hand tossed it straight at it's face. The bang sent it upward more but enough.

Roaring I jumped this time pouring divinity into my body once again and circulating it into my right fist.

Divinity units - 3/12

The punch was delivered straight at it's torso my fist going through the smog that wasn't totally reabsorbed in it's body. I didn't have time to wait though hesitating was dangerous.

A large air gust flung the Quizarmukae into the rift with me jumping right d after it the rift sealing behind us.

Gerasmine blinked at the event her spine relaxing first before dropping her stance totally, her left arm which held the shield slacking while she heaved a sigh. Her heavy body feeling like it could melt into the ground from the nerves she was on. Looking to the soot where the space rift had been made she silently whispered.

"Please finish it."

In a dark space where nothing shone, the only light illuminated from the whitish gold orbs floating about in the air. Several blueish balls rotated around the whitish ones.

If one were to check they'd realize that while there was no environment the elements were in a way present. Gusts of winds getting thrown out of the blue balls and several rocky elements formed at different corners then floating off.

Lightning sparked subtly at some parts of the space. At the very center was a red symbol engraved on a large rock that slowly rotated at the center. The symbol of a closed single eye was large and obvious.

The rock was a pure dazzling white with golden and blue lines running around it. Jagged spikes of earth were jutting out around the altar of sorts.

A tear in the center of the space right above the eye symbol occurred, the edges glowing a now symbolic white and gold as it stretched apart. But whatever was coming through didn't even wait for the space to stabilized as it flung straight out,a part of its flesh going though the spatial bounds and sizzling as it was loped off.

The hulking mass of grotesque limbs and heads smashed into a floating rock making the smog explode before hurriedly rushing right back into the body it hovered about.

Right after it came a white clothed figure with black hair who's eyes were already gleaming a pure gold unlike the creature. His red stained clothes was opposite to the confidence he exuded on spotting the thing he threw in here.

I extended an arm controlling the wind created by the blueish orbs in this space while reading the notifications in my sight.

[SPACE DOMAIN CREATED]

[SPACE DOMAIN LOCKED]

[TRUE FORM CAN NE BROUGHT INTO THIS SPACE AS IT IS SEPARATE FROM WORLDS REALITY]

[DIVINITY USE PROFICIENCY WITH AVATAR IS DOUBLED]

[????????? CAN BE USED WITHIN THE SPACE ONCE EVERY THIRTY DAYS. APPLIES ONLY TO THE AVATAR FORM].

I chuckled at the notifications. Basically I brought my multiverse to me. 'I guess this is why spatial prowess is so astounding 'I thought remembering Gerasmines reaction when I weaved space.

I guess for demigods to have such prowess was impossible. Thinking of it now I realized I actually gave myself away at that point. 'Must be why she realized faster that I wasn't just a demigod.'

'Got to be more careful with several things then' I mentally grumbled at the list of donts I had to watch for before I focused on the creepy form of Quizarmukae peeling himself of the boulder.

Even with the stats halved I knew this shape was something new. It was an aberrant god after all. The fear and despair it had absorbed in that mini fort must have helped it to evolve into something better and stronger.

Plus I suspected it was at some high point before it took all that fear and despair.

The head, or heads as there were now three of them all glaring ferociously at me.They were bigger and had horns this time. Smiling I notes the increase in limbs. Four more hands stuck out of its back and front. It's legs had gotten even more hinged while it had a longer reptilian tongue whipping in and out of it's three mouths.

The four front fangs were all longer and it's tails had managed to stretch out longer and form a curved spike at the tip.

'Luckily it has no wings' I thought as I clenched my hands into fists.

It's evolution had been a good choice. I had no doubt this new form would have given me problems but now it didn't matter.

"This is why all those novels always hammered on evolving safely." I added then squeezed my fists as I stretched my Minder's Reach.

[DUE TO TRUE FORM CONNECTION MINDERS REACH HAS EVOLVED TO DEIFIC SENSE]

[DEIFIC SENSE]

True version of the minders reach. Not only can nothing escape you whether seen or not, your presence crumbles the very will or being of those you chose to exert it on. Range is within set domain.

DIVINITY - N/A (As the energy is still connected to the user it is not seen as spent)

The Quizarmukae shuddered as it felt an intense pressure all over it. It shook trying to free itself from the grasp of what it had termed a puny god. The tables had turned in just a minute or less. From feeling untouchable a seed of fear that had long been planted sprouted instantly.

*****

Quizarmukae had felt glee once it had absorbed all that fear in the atmosphere, evolving it had felt powerful and stronger even managing to form a god aura.

But still all of it had not worked well for it. The moment it broke out it felt itself ascend and soon enough it was here. Where was here?

Worse it could feel it's powers been sealed. Not totally but enough to make it's evolution meaningless.

Finally looking at the god in front of it, a single thought registered as it felt a crushing pressure.

'This was no normal godling'. It didn't know why it thought this but it could feel it. The godling was weaker than the god he killed before but he lacked the presence this one had.

The god finally spoke and he felt shivers down it's spine. While it felt nothing before since it was basically two gods conversing, here he felt unbridled terror just at the voice, almost like it was nothing but an ant before it.

"I realize why you locked yourself in that village harvesting their fear, setting up an elaborate farm to nurture their despair. "

It snarled at first then whimpered as the pressure intensified.

"Smart too. Since you needed to run the farm continuously you had to make sure the villagers weren't all wiped out with the animals you mutated. That's where Gerasmine came in right. " I asked more like a statement than a question.

It froze pondering how this god saw through it's meticulous two century plan. It remembered its first days right after it's birth.

The disgust on the first god's face at sighting it. It didn't care as much it did when the god attempted ending it. He remembered all the fear and despair in the god as he shrivelled to nothing.

It was its first evolution. From there it knew its place, an unwanted god that would be killed at sight. Stumbling onto the village it had planned everything well. The old woman had died within the forest from a stroke and he after feeding off her fear and despair granting him access to some memories took her place by creating an avatar in her form.

It had all gone well till the second god came and he swiftly ended it. Yet after another century came this god. He wanted to eliminate him but the chance had not yet arrived.

Seeing the night attack as the chance to get the god when he least expected he never thought he would be on to him already.

Now here he was, back to history facing a God and probably about to be destroyed when all he did was survive.

"You let her become someone who could face all odds. The stream of reverence she earned somehow went to you since your divinity made her. Outstanding" He muttered to Quizarmukae's hearing.

"But now the question. Kill you or have you bend the knee?".

Quizarmukae struggled against the vice grip that had him imprisoned on the spot. He could feel an illusionary axe hovering over his head like a criminal awaiting judgement. Suddenly the pressure let up and he felt free his body slacking against the boulder he had smashed into. He raised his three heads up wondering what this god was doing now. He could feel the axe fade away from his neck. The next words significantly stunned him whilst also enraging him.

"Serve me, I'll let this slight go and appease Gerasmine somehow".It was like a bomb blast to it. On one hand it could live serving this boy on the other it could die gloriously or even win and get this runs divinity. Yet the thought felt impossible for it. It felt like attacking this god now was asking for death. It felt its survival instincts yelling out. Finally it reacted and the god smiled.
