50 - Hope

Tepes smashed hard onto floor his chest burning and his breaths labored even as he asked himself how exactly he could breathe. He was in space after all there should have been no air.

A screech from the Major as he dove down after retracting the lower body it used to trash the flame Azkolve away. Tepes was stunned and panicked pain flaring up his body as he grasped his side with his left arm.

Even if he had taken Dumdriel's warning seriously he realized that he had not taken it any bit as serious as he should have. The lower body turned out to be a major danger part for them and he knew it would be hard to take the beast down since it barely reacted to all the city and rips he administered to it.

Dazed from the strike to his body and the blurred vision he had he could only note two forms hurling towards him in a rapid pace with a loud screech sounding closer and closer with each passing moment.

The major was already there claws out and mouth won't part eager to take a bite of the living creature beneath it. Yet it's advance and victory was halted as an earth spear rammed into his mouth taking it back. It barely hit the ground when a new spell activated and the ground beneath it crack and shattered.

[GRINDER]

[DIVINE ENERGY - 4]

[RANK - D]

The floor shattered into pieces and debris before the majors form dropped in a bit only.for it to catch itself with its claws scratching and clinging fiercely onto the stones and ground to pull out of the hole.

The destroyed ground and it's debris began whirling in a. spiral as the pieces within turned and spun pulling the appendage in while the creature screeched. It's lower body getting struck and rammed continuously by all the rocks in the grinder.

Dumdriel didn't waste this chance as he dived over a rising Tepes rushing for the Major fragment his eyes wide and focused as he locked his liking intent on the thing. Behind Tepes stood stiffly watching while clasping his chest his eyes hard and annoyed at the injury inflicted on him..

Yet in an instant his eyes widened and he leaped forward a shout leaving his lips. Yet it was too late. Dumdriel barely noted anything all his focus on separating the major's head from its body. His claws already digging into the side of the neck as his right claws descended.

The shout from behind alerted him, yet he could barely react to whatever it was. Time wasn't on his side. Tepes watched horrified and slow to react as Dumdriel hunched with his left claws in the Major's neck his right claws descending to behead the thing and the floor cracked beneath his hinged muscular feet was left wide open with his head just a second from getting bitten off by yet another huge Major fragment.

Across the space Syrin froze as she felt the feeling she got earlier intensified. Her glowing form radiated light in the area she hovered as she looked around seeking the enemy that prowled in the dark.

She didn't have to search for long as it quickly revealed itself. Tentacles like a squid and the face with jaws that made up the entire head. It's face spitting in a horizontal line to reveal fangs that made her shiver. It lacked a torso, the tentacles growing out from just its head. Like its partner its had no eyes not like it needed one.

A screech left its head as it pounced wrapping all unnumbered tentacles around the white Azkolve while snapping madly aiming to take her head. Both stumbled through space struggling one for release and the other to tale a piece.

Syrin was panicked more than she wanted to admit. Low on mana and not built for front combat she was at the most disadvantage here. Yet her worry increased even more as she felt something else.

It wasn't the only one. Far off to the battlefield more of this fragments. Major fragments had leaped into the fray, their numbers were unknown as the either took on an Azkolve or ganged up on one.

Soon the entire one side fight was swayed to the anti-life fragments side as all the Azkolves found themselves in a life and death struggle. Ausal was caught in a fierce tangle with a huge blob of black lacking any features or parts that showed its head or body. It was simply round and kept trying to touch her. For some reason the wind Azkolve suspected that this was a bad thing for her.

Juju and Beleza found themselves funnily back to back as seven of the Major fragments assaulted them. Then there was Tarin who was slashing and biting relentlessly at two of the black things trying to grab him. Geral was basically leaping from location to location as he activated and deactivated his use of time. Yet he could only use it for a long while and still unable.to kill the manor fragment chasing him he was panicked.

Killing lesser fragments was easy to do as they had been shown that using divinity or spells worked. But for the Major fragment the spells were nothing but pennies and their divinity points were at it's lowest.

Energy aura was all that kept the Azkolves from losing the last bit of divinity they had even though unknown to both them and Erizo it was something that wouldn't happen due to the blue blood he made them with.

In other word the worst thing that could happen was losing the last points of divinity and having their passive Energy aura that kept them afloat in the dark space shutting off only for.tjem to float off until the regenerated the divinity.

While the Azkolbw could be more powerful than the Major fragments the faced the lacked experienced using their abilities and powers while also being outnumbered several to one. All in all they were losing badly and even knowing this fact they could barely do nothing to turn it around simply because the lacked knowledge on various things as such they wrre thrashed.

The lesser fragments unhindered rushed past the battling forces and aj3ad to the distance where the strong sense of life bloomed and called to them itching to be devoured.

Syrian could only watch a panicked look in her eyes as the thought that she had failed her father crossed her mind.

Dumdriel managed to look up slowly seeing only nothing but the dark and empty chasm that was the open maw of the Major fragment his head almost in the thought to how fast his new existence was already ending flashing through his head. Tepes his body soaring through the air as he leapt forward even as his instincts told him it was too late as he was too late.

Geral halted finally the flashing texts warning him of his low mana as the Major fragment finally caught up. Turning he roared as unlike the others he pointed the remaining units of divinity through him and into his palms forming golden flames that flickered up his arms even as the light over his body died out.

Ausal, Belwza and Juju all grimaced as they kept struggling to release themselves from the grasp of their attackers even while noting their mission having failed. The distinct thought of the lesser fragments getting to Dustroz painting them.

Train was the only one who seemed to not be thinking about anything but his fight as he fought with wild abandon putting everything he has into staying away from the majors.

Syrin struggled weakly as the Majors grasp increased and she found herself staring up into it's opened mouth as it pulled her into it. The darkness within eager to swallow the light of her body.

[ANTI-LIFE 4TH WALL ACTIVATED]

The texts flashed in her vision and a feeling rose in her. While she didn't understand 2hat the words meant or the benefit it gave you her and fellow Azkolves current situation she couldn't demy the feeling that grew in her.

Without even realizing it Syrin birthed a new force with just a feeling.

The dark expanse turned white and her vision blurred the last thing she saw being the words on her screen prompt.
