49 - Hunt domain

With the absence of Dumdriel at the center things had gotten stretchy for the Azkolves who had to double efforts to maintain their pace. Stein had continued blasting the light spears although now she focused on the front of the wave letting the rest pick up the stragglers while the pushed the army back.

But now there was little to nothing that could be done with Tepes off to assist Dumdriel. The hot headed Azkolves flames were a good AOE skill especially when he used the explosive balls. Without him there now only Tarin was left with his Black flames spell.

The said male Azkolve had already taken the initiative leaping into the center of the wave and spraying flames in all directions. While the black flames were not as hot as the original its dark affinity helped it blend into tbe environment and annihilate the fragments more. Ausal and Beleza spread to the sides one washing away the fragments work waves while the other flung them apart with her wind.

Geral walked past a frozen fragment his claws decapitating it. The robotic but firm voice of. the system announcing its death to him in his head. A weaker version of the earth spikes shot out of his palms as he began rending the fragments about him.

To.the other side was Juju who raced about tossing quale spears and ripping through the crowd work his claws all the time smiling when while panted while exhausted.

The 4- 1 - 1 formation effectively grounded the waves. With Beleza and Ausal behind but to both sides and Juju and Geral up front but still to the sides. The corners were locked. Tarin already at the center of the mass with his Black flames and Syrin who stood at the rear of them all supporting with her light spells.

But soon things got badder, Syrin's light spells and Tarin's flames, hell all their spells became weak while at the same time a subtle feeling of dizziness hit them.

[DIVNITY - 6/90]

[AVOID USE OF DIVINTY]

Syrin eyed the warning that flashed in her vision and was also announced in her head. It came with a slight feeling of drain like she had been emptied of something giving her a horrendous idea of the danger in using it all up.

Looking around she noted how the others were also now fighting tooth and claw evading and using body only to battle. But her true worry was to the far off fight where two battled one. Of their divinity use went too low then wouldn't defeating the major be problematic.

While few of them didn't realize but it was neither their claws or fangs that was hurting the fragments but the subtle trace of divinity in their making. Which was why the affected the fragments. But totally pouring out their divinity would eviscerate the creatures.

Signing she howled to alert the others of her plans before abandoning them there tearing away heading for the fight on the earth slab.

BOOOOM!!!.

The earth shattered beneath him as his fists drove the things face into the ground. His feet held the floor while his left hand descended claws spread and he tore right through the things throat.

Yet it wasn't destroyed. This much had been enough to end the lesser fragments. But this was a Major. His senses tinged and he leaped away right as the tail of the thing whipped where he had stood. After tasting the tail's power he already knew to avoid it.

Rolling on the earth and getting upright he dashed back in his eye catchy something in the distant but unable to lose focus to ascertain its identity he pounced on the creature on the floor. Biting, ripping and slashing madly while also dodging the tails defensive attacks and smacking the arms away.

It was obvious the major had no strength in its upper body with all its power lying in its lower body. This was why he kept avoiding its attacks.

He had already tried trapping its lower form beneath slabs of earth only for the thing to prove its strength shattering the slab away. Now cautious of the thing he weaved about it keeping down to the ground and constantly attacking attempting to destroy its lower body.

Yet all his attacks did nothing but separate flesh. Flesh that wiggled and rejoined together before the thing pounced back on him.

This was Dumdriel's first time fighting something that refused to die. Even as a former direwolf his preys died. But here it was different. An announce to the creature grew immensely as he tossed it off him and he crouched breathing heavily golden eyes locked on it.

The thing screeched at him and then with a whip of its lower appendage ot shot forward arms outstretched like a child eager to hug its parents. A scowl crossed Dumdriel's as he was stumped. Earth wasn't as destructive as the other elements and he felt like earth wouldn't harm this creature as needed.

Which meant he had to use his divinity,

Taking a stance with his left leg back and weight on his right leg which stayed front his claws glowed with a golden light that then spread to his palms before flickering up in a white flame.

[DIVINE FLAMES OF PURITY]

Unleash a pure flame of divinity to burn all it touches and rid the world of chaos and amti-life.

DIVINE ENERGY - 10

RANK - DIVINE A.

If Erizos knew that his subordinate had made a rank A divine A ranked spell he would have been shocked.

Dumdriel moved exploding forward as he pushed his weight of with his left leg and then shot forward arms raised and ready to descend on the Major.

A ball of thick flames in a spear formed shot past him and drilled right into the thing sending it flying back as it screeched.

Then the ground quake a bit as a form who's arms and legs were wreathed in flames stood upright after landing on the earth. The glow about him dimmed as he locked eyes with Dumdriel.

"Conserve your energy for a sure hit, were losing our divine energy as we fight. Rest up I'll handle this for now?" Tepes told him a snort of smoke leaving his nostrils.

Dumdriel simply looked to the thing already rising in the distance and back to Tepes.

"Watch for its tail. It's the most powerful part of its body. Almost shattered my ribs".

Tepes scoffed before striding past the grey hulking Azkolve his eyes locked on the thing ahead. Once past Dumdriel the fire Azkolve frowned in worry his eyes narrowing with caution. During the battle all had been able to see the other's prowess and while everyone noted Dumdriel's lack of offensive capabilities his defense was at an all time scary heights.

Which meant for him to warn of the thing almost cracking his ribs, Tepes knew he had to be careful. As such he activated his own hunt domain skill.

[HUNT DOMAIN]

Round one was over and now the players had changed. Round two was here. Since defence had failed it was time for offence to try.
