73 - Duke, Rule Rune proficiency and Rulerune engraving

Duke felt exhilarated by the events around him. Swinging his sword up and down. Dodging bites and evading those black claws as he moved like a dancer. He loved the feeling he got when his body gushed and moved like a silver stream realigning itself.

It was a good thing for them too as it helped to reshape them from their original forms and taking similar forms to their counterparts the Kyratks. With palms now they could swing and use a sword. The same silvery texture had reformed their body giving them a slight normal look. Wings melded into Duke's body to form an extra set of armor over it.

Even his system had already set things for him making it easier to choose a setting to move his body to. Whether it be the original form or the Kyratks copy. With the system arranging things he and the other kershinis already had three basic forms.

------------------------------------------

[FEUS FORM]

Original form of the Kershini at birth. This state renders the archangels more powerful but slightly less reserved.

[BODY SET 1 ]

Formed from their desire to add beauty to their looks, this look reduces the power of the Kershini by 30% but added combat prowess fixes this loss.

- Subform - (Knight) - Melding the wings to form additional protection on their bodies sacrificing flight for defense.

x20 to defense

-20 to agility.

------------------------------------------

The blade of Ankar skewered through a smaller fragment in form of a creature the system informed him was a serpent. Dropping low he avoided a whiplash from another similar-looking fragment right before he spurn Starfire igniting on the Velcenite blade as it separated the head of the fragment before burning both parts to nothing.

His sword flashed down from the left top to the right bottom and then right before it could strike the ground he swung back. The White fire in his eyes and that on his sword added to the illumination from the Sun God at the rear helping to give a better view of the monstrosities they were facing.

For a huge colossal creature, the fragment he fought bore no weight but held power as it swung consistently at him. Its black slimy palms grasping at him. With a roll, he went beneath it before turning making sure to always keep the thing in sight. His blade swung again ending another three fragments quickly.

Even as he battled his mind was eerily clear, conversing with his system as he tried to figure out faster ways to clear the horde around him. He bent back evading the palms of the colossus fragment once more as he read the words in his vision again.

A few hours back when it all began. The Heralds had been standing at the prior slab without any exact business. Most trained with their swords while others communicated with their systems.

Just like the many others, Duke found himself training his sword. He found the system gifting him several techniques and sword skills to ingraine within himself.

With each move, he mastered and learned the system rewarded him with a new one stronger than the old. It was while he was busy with this that he saw the system alert in his vision.

---------------------------------------

The prompt was gotten by all the Heralds around him. Even the Azkolves had gotten a similar mission and even the godling Velces received one too.

Duke noted how the mission was a choice one. If before he had no notion of what kind of man the All-father was then now he did. Seeing the being as one who never forced any into anything. For a moment his respect and thoughts went up a notch positively.

Besides he figured the death wasn't from the all-father killing him but him flying to the anti-life so he didn't feel like he was wronged.

"Yes". Accepting the mission he watched as it flickered and then changed with a new row of words beneath.

----------------------------------------

The Heralds gathered together summoned quickly by Yiris and Helma who had proactively acted to make themselves leaders for each race. Now standing in a line half made up of white-skinned devils and the other made of silver-skinned archangels the Azkolves stood in the center with Velces watching as they spoke.

Syrin had taken charge informing the various Heralds about everything. From what the enemy was to how to kill them. Since Syrin wasn't sure if the anti-life could be killed by any other means apart from divine energy she ordered them all to always coat their attacks with their various fires as they carried divinity within.

The Heralds and even Velces were all listening attentively something that impressed the Azkolves even more. Finally at the end Syrin nodded to Dumdriel who looked to Velces.

Even with more experience Dumdriel knew that as the All-fathers son and even more as a God Velces bore more authority than him. So his glance at Velces was understandable. Yet the Sun God only nodded at Dumdriel to carry on even adding.

" I lack the know how here. So I'll be in your care". he made a slight nod not a bow to the Azkolve. Without realizing it Velces had effectively increased their view of him and respect.

Without a word though and just a nod back the muscular 13ft tall and tanky Azkolve with his eyes blinking on both his face and shoulders turned to the other side of the empty rock slab.

Dumdriel breathed in slightly before extending his palms. This was the first time he would be using a Rulerune for such a capacity. When the system had sent the information about their All-fathers modifications all the Azkolves had quickly began practicing to get acclimated with it's use.

Even though the system had granted them knowledge by filling their brains with the details, it wouldn't compare to the actual experience of it.

So of course he went at it slow. Each Rulerune was important and there were also lesser rule runes that branched out of the main rulerunes. His rulerune for example was one of earth. With his aspect being earth it was obviously to learn about the earth rulerune. His knowledge with it encompassed everything about the earth and anything under it. Though some fields were out of his range like metal runes for the moment. He could always learn them too once he wished it.

Though it was always easier to learn a lower affiliate rulerune after totally mastering the major rune. For example only after totally mastering Water Rulerune could one use the ice rulerune impeccably.

It wasn't that it was impossible to use it. But it would flow better after 100% mastery of the major rulerune. This was called Rulerune proficiency. Though it also helped to have the desired element as an aspect increasing your potential speed of proficiency.

So when Dumdriel created the rulerune in front of him it was anything but easy. First he had already engraved the runs in his seat of consciousness as the system had instructed and guided him to, next was the activation.

One could either activate the rulerune within their seat of consciousness and then let the energy flow out using their body as a medium to create what their mind needed. The stronger the energy used to activate it the brighter it became. One's bright enough the rulerune would be noted in the eyes of the caster or if enormously powerful it could create a mirage of itself around the caster like a halo.

Or one could let their energy flow out and connect with the rulerune created outside their seat of consciousness to create it.

The first could only happen after the Rulerune was successfully engraved in ones seat of consciousness. For divine beings Erizos had already made it for divine energy to be used in the process making the rulerune permanent.

The more energy used to make the rune the stronger it became. Of successful later on the could always add slowly to it increasing it's size and rank. It was like a storage of divine energy locked within a Rulerune. All that the Azkolve had to do was to connect his will with the rulerune and channel the energy out. Though it could only be used for the Rulerune element made. In other words a divine energy bank.

The energy within the Rulerune once used up would have to be refilled by the divine beings own energy as it could not regenerate like Erizos divine beings energy could.

If that was so it would have made them overkill.
