136 - Birth of the Commandments 3 - Gods meeting

Taumune, Pyrkam, and Velces each watched as the flame shook and struggled to be free. Yet the Rulerune ignored its tantrums.

Finally, the flame calmed now weakened. Then right before all their eyes, it was ripped in two.

Velces flinched at watching what was once part of him getting torn in two so brutally. Yet he watched. The first of the fires rose and shimmered before darting away.

The second rose high for several meters until it was almost to the heavens then it shot far to the North. Everyone watched as it tore through the skies and finally, it crashed into a mountain.

Dustroz had already dipped into the horizon of Merrenok casting dim hues over the skies. The flame's explosion on landing added to the dim lighting around it.

Pyrkam and Taumune never got to appreciate the scene as each felt their consciousness torn out of their avatars.

Thunder boomed and Velces looked up to see the clouds turning dark as lightning flashed within them. Every one of the clouds began aligning in some pattern.

Nuknuk still shivering at his near death felt his form held by something warm and kind. Something that made him feel thankful before it finally took him down and sent him back to his roots.

To the far distance of Mid-Merrenok, a continent not yet named stood an Olden eyes as silver as anything. Silently and calmly watching the skies rumble and thunders boom, the clouds churn and rage as they formed a shape with lightning flashing within it.

To her side stood another Olden much older and yet less courageous in watching the event.

"Erlezos rages" she whispered low enough to not be loud, Yet enough for the Olden to hear. His eyes seemed to widen as he made one assumption about that. Still, before he could make a sentence the younger Olden smiled at him.

"Nothing I'm sure that your race has done". Her words while unusual suddenly made sense to the Olden as he watched her eyes glaze over and the body burst into sparks of golden light.

Audka was swift to fall to his knees head bowed to the spot Quintapazzuri just dissipated from. His rough and gnarled lips made petitions and prayers as he called to the young goddess.

Gerasmine frowned as she glared up at the face in the clouds. Lightning flashed in its eyes as it gazed over all of Merrenok. Then she felt the tug on her avatar.

Resisting a bit she turned to the Burdened Lion whom she had been telling a lot of secrets and patted its head. Though more a touch than a pat as she smiled at it.

"I'll see you later Scar. Do remember to keep this knowledge only amongst you and your brothers" The Burdened Lion, its mane redder than flame and its body a desert gold made a blink of affirmation.

Winds rolled at this meager act but it was unsurprising to Gerasmine as she smiled once more and finally let the still subtly tugging divinity pull her away.

Scar watched silently as the woman vanished. He knew what she was as she told him. And now he had to find and tell these others the secrets of their home.

'What a bother'.

GOD REALM

It was the first time they had ever used the palace for anything. Always empty now it was a bit full as several entities stood about.

Six of the seven god chains sat on the lower podium where seven thrones stood. Two of the first three sat up higher in three thrones. Finally was a singular throne that sat to the left of a normal yet regal-looking seat a bit lower due to the elevation of the regal throne.

On each throne sat their gods. Yet in the center of the great hall stood the form of Taumune and the seven-headed Pyrkam.

Yes, Taumune could now separate a few of her vines and trees to form a separate body that she could send a fragment of her consciousness into.

It was this fragment that had fought Pyrkam in Merrenok and this fragment now that stood before the All-father.

There was silence in the halls for a while as everyone awaited Erizos words.

Gods like Amor, Eth'ela, and Hanare had little to no idea what the first god meeting was about but seeing the two standing in the center it was obvious something happened.

But what.

Yet to everyone's surprise, all Erizos said was something different. Something that had Velces stiffening.

"We have a new sentient being in Merrenok".

Before the gods could even begin to understand the statement or anything else he continued dropping another bomb.

"What your brother created is called a Commandment. An emotional rule that gets stronger the more of a specific emotion it feels in the world. Like anger."

"Each commandment has rule over a certain emotion. Velces flame came from his rage. Right now it is the only existing commandment. Which can't be allowed. " The gods all looked perplexed at this so the All-father continued.

"Commandments don't just feed off the emotion people create, they also affect people around to make them burn their emotions even more. If left unchecked Merrenok might become a harsh warring world. "

His eyes cut through everyone with his last statement.

"We need to make sure it doesn't become so. Each god will have to submit a few of his emotions".

There was silence for a while before Gerasmine spoke.

" While I get where all this is going, why not just seal the thing and call it a day? ".

"If I sealed you for being born when you had no choice in the matter would that be appropriate?" Erizos rebuked.

All the gods had wide eyes and also a greater respect for their father now. Not only was he caring for his creations but he never faulted anything for something it had no hand in.

Pyrkam at that moment felt like he would be vindicated from this. After all, All-father surely knew who was at fault here, right?

Right?.
