Wait for me

When the elevator door closed, Amy let go of all the emotion she had been holding. She leaned toward the man she had just met and bawled her eyes.

"Ummmm, so which floor are you stopping?" The mysterious man who was a second ago was about to have a fist fight with Noah, now looking at her and caressing her hair.

"Ahhhhh" Amy screamed as she saw her reflection in the elevator; her head was tucked in the man's chest, his arm wrapped around her, hushing her head. She thought she would die of embarrassment.

"Oh, God. Thank you… I'm so sorry, but also thank you," Amy blurted, avoiding making eye contact.

"Are you sure you're gonna be safe tonight? Are you here alone?" The mystery knight said.

"Umm… I'm with friends, but I-I lost them. I was about to contact them only to realize they have my p-phone.." Amy stuttered at the presence of this man.

Now that she's back to her senses, she noticed that this man was astoundingly tall. Assessing that he's the same height as Noah, he's most likely 6'2. He also had an extensive, muscular shoulder.

Although she couldn't ultimately see the man's face because of the bucket hat he was wearing, he could catch a glimpse of his rosy cheeks, poreless nose, and plump lips...

"You can use my phone if you want," the man said, interrupting Amy's embarrassingly lustful imagination. "This is my floor; if you want, you can call them before we step outside the elevator."

"Thanks, you're a lifesaver," Amy said, hiding her red flushed cheeks.

After she made the phone call, the mysterious man got a call from his phone. The man turns his back on Amy. Amy then assessed that although he is casually dressed, his shirt, jeans, and even shoes are from a famous luxurious brand. 'Who could this guy be' she thought. I think I've seen him somewhere.'

"yeah, yeah, I'm literally outside. I'm okay; I just wanted some fresh air. Tell ''them not to worry. I'm literally by the door."

Amy could sense that the man was annoyed. He must have been late because of her. She was just about to speak when the man in front of him said, "that's my colleague. I would love to stay till your friends get here, but they wanted me back for security purposes. I'll just show my face to them and come out as quickly as possible, so don't go anywhere."

Gathering her strength, Amy shouted thank you to the man she had just met. The mysterious man stopped, and before opening the door down the farthest right, he looked at Amy and said, "wait for me."

Then he was gone.

Not a second later, Maddie and Celine came running out of the elevator, assessing her from head to toe. "Are you okay?" "What's my name?" "What's your name?" "What's her name?" Maddie blurted out as she grabbed Amy with both hands.

"I'm fine, Maddie. I got lost, and some good man lent me his phone." Amy said, rolling her eyes at Maddie. Maddie still assessing her from head to toe.

"Well, if that's the case, we should all go back to the party and have a good time, yea?" Celine cheered as she pressed the elevator door open and got in. "I barely get out and attend parties, so let's get this party rolling."

At the afterparty, everyone was entertaining and welcoming. It feels like a kind of sisterhood, only there are people of all gender at the party. Amy thought it would have felt like this if she had enough free time to hang out with her sorority sisters.

Amy gulped her drink. She had already lost count of how much she drank that night but right there, at that exact moment, Amy felt a warmth inside; she felt like she had been set free. Her heart doesn't ache anymore, and she suddenly knows what to do.

Amy made her way to the dance floor. Feeling the buzz from alcohol, Amy couldn't help but think of that mysterious man she had met earlier. Where has she seen him, and will she be able to meet him again?

The night continued to live, and so did Maddie, Celine, and Amy.

After making himself clear from his colleagues and security guards, Jim hurried out the door to check on that woman he had just the most bizarre interaction with. To his dismay, she was not there anymore.

"Who are you looking for? You look like someone at its wit's end," GD told Jim as he patted his back.

"I met a woman today. It was the most bizarre interaction," Jim said, disheartened.

"Woah, the world's greatest Jim is at his wit's end because of a girl? I need to know her. I must see her. Who is she?" GD chirped.

"I don't know. I forgot to ask her name."

"Did she recognize you?"

"I don't think so; we didn't introduce ourselves." Jim scratched his head. "One moment I was alone, then she appeared in my arms, then she was crying, then she was gone".

"Sorry, Jim, some interactions, no matter how bizarre they are, are nothing but an interaction. Nothing more. Nothing less. Why don't we go to that after party instead? The rest are disguising themselves as we talk. Who knows, you might have another bizarre meet-up in there." Said GD teasing Jim.

"Nah, I'll pass. I think I have enough for today. You guys enjoy though. Axis* must have worked so hard to throw a party for us."

GD, Min Ho, Seojun, and J went on to attend the afterparty. Back in the room, Jim sat beside Leo, who was busy making music. 'This guy doesn't know when to stop working,' Jim thought.

Remembering what happened earlier, Jim smiled as his heart swelled. 'Who are you?' Jim thought of the girl he met today. 'What a bizarre twist of fate,' he mumbled as he looked at his phone.

Jim then took his phone out of his pocket and saved a new phone contact: Babe.
