Gianna met Victor and Ralph to give some instructions before sending them off to the surgery. Later, she joined Stanley and Alice for the rounds. "Look at their bright smiles. Dr.G, this is so unfair! They are only happy to see you!" whined Alice as they attended the patients. Gianna smiled and continued to have small talks with the patients as she examined them thoroughly.
All the patients were happy to see Dr.G and talked to Dr.G like she was gone for a long vacation. They finished with the examination in the recovery ward and stepped into Alexander's room. Alexander's eyes went wide with surprise to see Dr.G entering his ward. Gianna noticed three bodyguards and Mr.Peter standing in their respective positions, guarding Alexander.
Gianna smiled sweetly and asked, "How are you doing, Alexander?" Alexander smiled brightly and blinked his eyes once. She smiled and checked his charts while instructing Stanley to make some changes to the medication. "Do you remember what I said as soon as you woke up?" Alexander blinked his eyes once. Gianna smiled and said, "Good. Do well in your therapy sessions and come back stronger." She patted his hand lovingly and turned to walk out of the room.
"Gian" Gianna heard a low voice calling out her name. She turned to look at Alexander and heard him trying to call her name once again. She moved to his side and asked, "What is it? Do you feel any pain?" Alexander opened his mouth and said 'No' in a breathy voice. Gianna was surprised to see how fast Alexander was recovering and asked, "Do you want to tell me something?"
Alexander tried hard and a 'yes' escaped his mouth after trying with much effort. Gianna smiled and said, "Even if you have something to say to me, don't pressurize your body all at once. I am proud of you that you can already speak but take it slow." Alexander blinked once and looked at her as if he wanted to ask her something. She remembered what Alice told her yesterday through the call that Alexander was worried about her absence.
"I just took a day off because I was tired after two back-to-back surgeries. I am totally fine now. I promise you that I will visit you every day," said Gianna with a loving smile. Alexander gave a bright smile and blinked once at her. "Also, you can call me G, as it is easier," said Gianna to Alexander. Alexander blinked his eyes once again before smiling at Gianna. Stanley and Alice looked at each other and wondered how Dr.G could understand Alexander with only his facial expression.
Gianna told Alexander to take a good rest and was about to leave when she stopped in front of Mr.Peter. "How are you feeling?" Peter was taken aback by her sudden question but recollected himself quickly and said, "I am doing fine, doctor." "Don't exert yourself too much. Take your medications regularly. Also, don't skip your appointment in the coming week. Understood?" asked Gianna in a domineering voice. Peter nodded his head and replied 'yes' sternly.
They left the room and went to the other two private rooms to examine the patients who had their surgeries recently. The rounds were completed by half past eleven. Gianna decided to drop by the observation cabin of the operating room to know the status of the surgery. She watched them for a while, and when she was sure that everything was under control, she left the cabin to have a cup of coffee.
Meanwhile, Dr. Jason was fuming with rage inside his office. He felt so humiliated in front of his juniors. He took a photo out from his drawer and looked at it with lustful eyes. The person in the photo was none other than Gianna in a dark green one-piece smiling brightly at the camera. He couldn't suppress his anger toward Gianna and wanted to trap her in the cage as soon as possible. He desperately wanted to see Gianna pleading for mercy. He wanted Gianna for himself and to hide her from this world forever. He grazed the photo as if he was touching Gianna, till he managed to calm down.
Gianna ordered a cup of coffee and a sandwich at the cafe as she didn't have anything for breakfast. She waited at a nearby table and admired the weather while waiting for her order. "Good morning, Dr.G!" Gianna was startled to hear a loud voice calling out her name and looked in the direction of the sound. She saw Dr. Zane with a bright smile waving his hands at her from a distance. She smiled back and nodded at him.
"Please don't take a leave anymore because it feels like ages if you are not at the hospital," said Zane as he took a seat opposite her after placing his order. Gianna chuckled as she stood up to receive her order from the counter. "Thank you for your help, Dr.Zane. I owe you one," said Gianna before taking a bite from the sandwich. "Dr.G! You don't owe me anything! I owe you my life in the first place!! " exclaimed Zane loudly.
A few of the staff who were present there turned to look at them and giggled after listening to Zane's remark. Gianna placed the sandwich on the table and looked at Zane with disbelief. "Dr. Zane, I advise you not to go overboard with your words. I won't tolerate it anymore." Zane was confused and looked around and realized his mistake. "I am sorry. I didn't mean it in that way! I only told you the truth. If not for you, I wouldn't be sitting here today."
