Chapter - 61 - Hence proved

Gianna swept a look at them and realized she was indeed acting weirdly. She cleared her throat and said with a faint smile, "I was angry, but now I am alright!" "Was it because of Dr.Jason?" asked Ralph with concern. "You can say that!" said Gianna and turned to walk towards the elevator, and the team also followed her.

Gianna ordered coffee for the team and sat at the nearby table with them, talking about their thesis while waiting for their coffee. Gianna's phone vibrated, and she saw a text message from Zane. Zane: Sorry for leaving abruptly. Thank you for the sandwich. Gianna: It's okay. Want to join us for coffee? Zane: Where are you guys? Gianna: Cafe. Gianna went to the counter to inform them to add one more coffee to the order list.

"Look how brightly Shane is smiling at Dr.G?" said Ralph in a sarcastic tone, and the team scrutinized Shane from top to bottom. "What are you guys looking at so seriously?" asked Zane standing behind them. The team turned to face Dr.Zane and smiled brightly. "Our barista has had a crush on Dr. G for a very long time! Look how happy he is!" said Ralph in a hushed tone. Zane looked over and saw Shane smiling like a fool at Gianna.

"Shane is not a match for Dr.G!" said Zane, as he took a seat. "You do have keen eyes, Dr.Zane," said Stanley, looking at Shane. The team giggled but fell silent as soon as they saw Gianna coming back.

"You are here," said Gianna, as she noticed Zane sitting among the team. "There was a patient who met with a car accident, that's why I had to run earlier," said Dr. Zane. "It's okay! Did you have your sandwich?" asked Gianna. "Yes. Thank you!" said Zane with a bright smile. The team looked at Dr.G and Dr.Zane back and forth as they talked with each other. "What were you guys looking at so seriously earlier?" asked Gianna, looking at the team.

"Dr.G, if you don't mind can I ask you a personal question?" asked Ralph with an eager look. "Would you stop asking if I say I do mind?" cross-questioned Gianna. "Never." Gianna chuckled at Ralph's honest reply and signaled him to ask her. "Do you know that most of the men in the hospital have a crush on you?" Gianna looked at him blankly and asked, pointing at herself, "You say, crush on you? Do you mean me?" The team nodded at her at the same time. Gianna was baffled at their response.

"Pfft… Why would anyone have a crush on me? Stop talking nonsense," said Gianna as she swept a glance at the team. The team looked at Ralph and remembered how he had claimed Dr.G was the Goddess of Ignorance. Ralph chuckled and said, "Dr.G, why do you think everyone calls you Dr.G instead of Dr.Gianna?" The team looked at Gianna with hopes. "Isn't it because Gianna is too long?"

The team groaned at Gianna's response and hit their forehead with their hands. Ralph laughed at their reaction and said, "I told you all but none of you believed me!" The team looked at Dr. G again and let out a disappointed sigh. "What's with all your reaction? And Ralph, what did they not believe?" Gianna asked the team, totally confused.

"Dr.G, first of all, we call you, 'G' because …. So in conclusion, G for Gianna, Genius, and Goddess." Ralph narrated the whole story of her alias names in one breath. Gianna was stunned and couldn't process the information in her brain. She looked at them and asked, "Did you all just make it up to make a fool out of me?" "You think they made it up?" asked Zane with disbelief. Gianna shrugged her shoulders and took a sip of her coffee.

Zane started looking around, and the team wondered what he was trying to do. Zane saw a resident from the cardiothoracic department and called his name out. The resident turned and waved at Dr.Zane. Dr.Zane signaled him to come over, and he walked toward them. Gianna and others looked at Zane in confusion.

"Good evening Dr.G. Good evening Dr.Zane." greeted the resident with a bright smile. Gianna and Zane greeted him back. Zane asked the resident, "So you know, Dr.G?" The resident chuckled and asked, "Who doesn't know, Dr.G?" Gianna smiled awkwardly at that comment because she can never get used to people praising her. "So, do you know why she is called Dr.G?" asked Zane. At that question, the team knew what Zane was trying to prove.

"Of course! G for Gianna, Genius, and Goddess, and in short Dr.G!" exclaimed the resident. Everyone looked at Gianna and gave an 'I told you so look'. Gianna couldn't believe her ears and gaped at them! Zane thanked the resident and bid him goodbye. "Now do you believe us, Dr.G?" asked Zane, chuckling.

"Who started this nonsense?" asked Gianna, looking at them with a serious face. "No one knows, but it didn't start on one particular day. People around you have been giving you these names back from your college days!" said Ralph, casually sipping on his coffee. Gianna shook her head and said innocently, "But I have never heard anyone using these names around me." "The whole hospital was talking about you and Dr. Jason was dating for the whole day! Would you have known about it if not us?" asked Victor.

Gianna slowly realized and agreed with Victor's point. "It's not that you don't hear Dr.G, it's because you are least bothered about what others think or say about you, and that's one of the reasons why I admire you the most," said Stanley with a smile.

Others also joined in agreement and smiled brightly at her. "Now I feel so conscious whenever you call me Dr.G.," said Gianna. "Hence, the theory of the Goddess of Ignorance has been proved," commented Ralph proudly. She rested her head on the table and groaned, unable to take all the information. The team laughed at her reaction and drank their coffee.

"Do you want to know the names of the men who have a crush on you, Dr.G?" asked Alice with a giggle.
