Chapter - 133 - Righteous Life

"Good evening, Travis. How is the company?" "Wow! Do you still remember me and the company? I thought you completely forgot about it, and I could use this chance to take all the profits." Gianna chuckled and said, "One must not be too greedy, Travis." Travis Newman laughed loudly and said, "Did you read the mail, or was it a coincidence that you called me?"

"Coincidence."

"Well, we have got a request from Dr. Jullian Issac. He wants us to update their tracking equipment with our software. He has offered twenty million for the job." Gianna smirked upon hearing that name and asked, "Isn't he the old man who criticized us for the lack of experience?"

"So, you have no problem with your memory. You just choose to ignore me and the company. Isn't it, Elda?" "I think you can use the word 'trust' over 'ignore', Travis. Anyways, why did that man approach us now? Isn't he working with that useless company?"

Travis smacked his lips and said, "I also had the same doubt, and I looked into the reason behind his approach." "Then? What did you find?" "You won't believe the result, Elda! One of the most famous and ruthless families has control over Dr. Jullian and his higher officials. Ha ha ha…" said Travis with pure surprise.

"Which one?" asked Gianna hurriedly, as she was also curious. "The Ellerbrock family," said Travis. Gianna knew the Ellerbrocks were indeed powerful in Ascania, but who would have thought they had connections with the country's defense sector? Travis continued his findings, "Recently, someone hacked their tracking equipment which was from Dr. Jullian, and Mr. Ellerbrock put pressure on him to find the best software!"

"Also, there is a rumor that the BlueTechs claim they have the world's third-best hacker working for them! Ha ha ha! How dare they spout nonsense like this?!" said Travis in frustration. "How can you deceive me like this, Travis? How could you work for BlueTechs when I trust and pay you handsomely?" teased Gianna.

"As if! I wanted to dash then and there, to BlueTechs and tell their useless President that I am the hacker they are claiming to work for them. You have no idea how much I am restraining myself from doing it!" Gianna laughed heartily at his complaint.

"I am fine if they use my hacker fame to create sales for them, but how could they claim I developed their lousy software? Such an a**hol*s!" "Okay! Calm down! Let children play however they want, and let's watch from the sidelines." Travis nodded and took a few deep breaths to calm down.

"Let's take up the request from Dr. Jullian Issac with a few conditions. Firstly, he can only work with us for the next ten years. Secondly, tell him that the top three hackers of the world are working for us, indirectly bringing out the lie of BlueTechs. Thirdly, tell him we would update all their equipment with our top software for 60 million, and rates will differ the next time."

Travis chuckled and said, "Well, considering the insult he gave us, 60 million is not less or more." Gianna smiled on the other end.

"One more thing, a candidate named Roberto has been selected for our company in the recent intern recruitment. Give him extra loads of work and make sure you teach him well, indirectly." "As expected. Who is he?" asked Travis curiously.

"A close one," replied Gianna mysteriously. "Don't worry. I will take care of it. Elda, when will you stop by the company? At least Ryan stops by the company once in a while but you! It's unfair, Elda!" whined Travis.

Gianna could understand his frustration and couldn't retort back. Gianna had to divert his whining, or she would agree to stop by the company because of his whining. "How are Megan and Averie? Averie must be eight years old now, isn't she?" asked Gianna, trying to divert Travis.

"They are doing good. Averie will turn eight next month. There is good news! Megan is three months pregnant!" said Travis, completely excited. Gianna was happy to hear the news and congratulated him. Like that, Gianna successfully diverted the topic and bid goodnight as soon as possible. Gianna noted down on her phone to buy a gift for both Megan and Averie before going to bed.

It didn't even turn four in the morning, and there was a loud ringtone. Armando cursed the caller as he woke up from his sleep. He could kill anyone other than Capo who disturbs his sleep. Armando looked at his phone, and his face turned dark. He attended the call, and the other person started blabbering before he could say one word.

"Armando, please spare me! I have done wrong! Please have mercy on me! I was wrong to contact the Falcons. I should have listened to you! I agree to all your terms, so please stop this attack. Please!"

Armando was displeased. "I gave you many chances and warned that my Capo is not as merciful as me, but you chose not to listen. Now it's out of my hands. Even the great Boss can't make Capo take back his order. Go and lead a righteous life, Mr.Edward." Armando didn't wait for his answer and hung up the call. He was awake now and decided to join the training.

Rick was already present in the training building when Armando arrived. He looked at his watch, noticed it was only half past four, and looked at Rick confusedly. Armando quickly ran up to Rick and greeted him.

"Edward had called me earlier asking for forgiveness, mercy, and whatnot. I told him nothing would change even if he asked for mercy now." Rick smirked and continued with his workout. Other members slowly started filling the room and were amused to see their Capo training.
