Chapter 11- Bonding with a bot

I woke up this morning a bit more cheerful than yesterday and the fee days before that when I found I would have to live with the Batman.

I got out of bed to see the house empty with Selina having disappeared somewhere.

Making sure I was alone and to make sure yesterday wasn't a dream, I mean I suddenly got a super AI who based her looks around hot women with barely any clothes on, I call out to OverWatch.

in front of me appears the nearly naked hologram of the AI.

"Yeah, good morning. I just wanted to confirm last nights events alongside asking you questions."

"That's great. So, about yesterday I have many things to ask. First, about yesterday am I not the one to choose your name and appearance?"

"Oh."

"Thanks for following me, I guess. Then why choose well such a skimpy dressed character?"

"....."

*cough*

"I see. you said something about it being permanent?"

"Ohhh... wait a moment, spaceship??"

"I have a dimensional spaceship? Where? Does Selina have it? Please don't tell me some villain character has it or worse the government."

"My pendant is the lucky charm of bezel? It's my inventory cheat?"

Then I quickly remembered the first time I opened my eyes in this world was because something had shocked me.

"Damn so the pendant shocked me so that Selina would notice me and also probably made me more endearing to her."

"What else can you do?"

A huge grin broke across my face when I heard these and I could see a proud expression on the face of OverWatch.

"Hmmnn. By the way why did you choose OverWatch as a name?"

"Don't call me user. Just call me Nick. As for your name... how about Arya. It means friend in Persian and noble/honorable in Sanskrit."

"No, thank you. If not for your presence it would take a lot more time before I felt confident enough to truly explore the mysteries of this world. With you here I can cut that time by half or maybe more than that."

I was ecstatic, understandably so, for I who till now did not even have powers and now did not want to expose the ope-ope no mi abilities this was a godsend. Literally.

*Pfftt*

I held back my chuckles and was feeling more confident in facing this world. The truth was that all this time I studied so hard just to have some amount of convenience in this world. I was scared that before I even got my powers I would somehow be killed by some random shootout in Gotham or kidnapped to be studied by those crazy 'Light' assholes like Vandal Savage and Lex Luthor. I don't really remember the rest but whatever now that I had Arya with me I was a whole lot safer.

Living with the Batman is not actually a bad thing, cause it gives me great protection in this world as the Wayne Manor and the Batcave are very rarely attacked in the comics and never in the Young Justice show, so living with him is a good thing but I just didn't want to live with the paranoid, partially insane hero/vigilante who would no doubt somehow figure out my powers and how they work along with counters.

There is a reason I will not show ope-ope no mi abilities until it is impossible to hide or I am too strong for it to matter as much.

Though I am not entirely sure of the principle of how the fruit ability works in this universe I am sure it cannot be stopped easily nor can the effects be undone by either technology or magic unless it is so superior that it doesn't matter anyway.

I heard the sound of the door opening and quickly called back all the nanites in my body.

Selina came to my room, opened the door and was a bit surprised to see me cheerful after a few days of sulking.

"Ready to go?", she aske me.

"Yes. Yes I am."
