His voice trembled as his next words fell.

"But, but, even if he is so mean and doesn't let me eat my favorite food, I miss him a lot. I want to see him. It's fine if I don't get to eat pizza.

But he never comes home. He is always out, busy with work. Why can't he stay home with me? He is so bad. I hate him.

Evelyn extended her hand and hugged her crying friend, letting him carry on with his complaints. She patted her hand on his back as an attempt to comfort him.

By the time his throat was dry and he couldn't conjure up anymore tears, Edgar stopped crying and sniffed. 

Little Eve let go of her friend to go to take a tissue. She brought over the box and pulled out a tissue, handing it over to him.
