Fate's strings

"Why are you calling me?" Clay chuckled.

"I am asking you out. Let's meet at Halberts." Replied with a nervous gentle voice.

"I would have preferred this to be face to face but as I am generous, I accept your deal. I am kinda busy, I will call you went I am free.

"Ok, call me soon then. Bye." The call was quickly cut.

"How cute. Today is a very good day." Clay was smiling widely. After 13 days of grinding, he had finally reached 40% in the muscle dimension.

> Reached 40% affinity <

Obtained {Musculi} class: Fleeting Hardened-Warrior

Obtained ability:

{Compact body} - Compact all muscles on your limbs to make them stronger.

{Borrowed coat} - Can borrow the muscles of the fallen to coat your limbs.

The ability {Compact body} was moved to your Natural body by the will of Mother Earth

'Let's test it out. In theory, it sounds powerful but reality deals with many different forces.'

Clay was already on his way to the muscle dimension when he got his call. He was very excited to try out his abilities. He even woke up at 8 am, not that you can tell looking at the sky as it was cloudy and it would probably rain heavily soon but Clay didn't care as he jogged to the muscle dimension.

Finding a minotaur Clay ran up to it and easily chopped off its head. He had spent many days killing these monsters so he was proficient at it.

"Time to test my abilities."

*PAA!*

A minotaur's head exploded after being punched by Clay. Clay's arms and legs were covered in very tight hard muscles. The muscles were so dense that they looked like red marble, they were a deep matte red.

After entering chopping off the head of the minotaur. Clay used {Borrowed coat}, the ability made the minotaur's muscles move and attach themselves to Clay's limbs. The monster's muscles were so big that they made it impossible for Clay to move so he used {Compact body}. Which compacted the monster's muscles and made it possible for Clay to use them.

As the muscles become more compact, they also become denser and harder. They boasted Clay's strength and speed greatly. After getting used to the ability and extra muscle Clay started massacring any minotaur he could find.

Soon reality hit him as his bones couldn't handle more than 4 minotaur muscles. But it barely was a problem as with {Thews Boasted} he could increase his power by an additional 30%.

Even though he could not one punch elemental minotaurs, with his sword it was easy killing them. He kept on going deeper and deeper into the muscle dimension until he reached a 'Pillar of the muscle dimension.'

In some horizontal dimensions, there were pillars that held up the roof of the dimensions. They also served as a land marker. In the muscle dimension if you passed the first pillar you are granted to soon meet an elite monster.

'If I get stronger bones I could potentially even kill elite monsters. Of course, it would need to be a lucky shot or an ambush, after all with elite monsters manipulation of their power is frightening. I will check out the bones dimension after I go back home and meet up with Tina.'

Leaving the muscle dimension, Clay was on a train heading to Hiten city from Cintara. He was hugging a silver-modern-looking backpack. This backpack was Arby who was holding elemental cores from all the murdered minotaurs. They would sell for a good price but Clay didn't want the hunter association's suspicion so he would just keep them locked in a storage room he was renting.

*Ring!*

"Hey Sans what's up?"

"Good, I called you suddenly because a thing popped up. I will be going to my gramps place to train and become a better Dark knight."

"You ranked up?" Asked Clay. "Yes" Happily replied Sans.

"Good for you. Tarina hard so you don't get left behind by me."

"I am going to get trained by a Rank-5 Superior Wraith knight. I don't think I am the one who is going to get left behind."

Clay and Sans talked a while about San's training and future class pathways. "Bye, take care of yourself." Finishing up the conversation Clay was looking out the window at the heavy rain. 'So calm and nice.' He thought...

*BANG!*

One of the front carriages exploded in crimson flames. Cries and screams could be heard all over the train, as the train stopped suddenly causing a lot of the passengers to fly up and hit the roof of the train. 'Ooch.' Luckily Clay was in a closed room so he didn't get seriously hurt.

'What was that? Did the engine explode?'

"Civilians calm down. I am from the military. A traitor is hiding in this train. He is trying to cause mass panic so that he can escape." A loud voice announced. The voice seemed to be magical as it made everyone freeze.

"The military must really care for these documents to send you sir. It's a great honor to finally meet you." A masked man jumped on top of a carriage. The man was wearing a dark red mask that only covered the lower half of his face and a black cloak with red lines.

"I was in a nearby galaxy so I thought why not help." Arrogantly replied the stern military man. He had long golden hair and a thick golden mustache.

"I suppose it is fate playing with me...again." The masked man mumbled sadly. "I have wired all of the passengers in this carriage. If you kill me all of them die with me."

"When you addressed me politely I thought you must know who I am but it looks like you are ignorant. The great Starlight's commands me to uphold the greater good above my morals." The military man took a deep breath in.

"If you have enmity with fate. Let me cut the strings that connect you two." He then did a small horizontal sweep with his right hand. The masked man's body fell to the ground like a broken toy doll.

"May you innocent lambs get in starlight. your sacrifice has rid the universe of great evil." After stoically saying his piece the man vanished in mid-air.
