Just In Time

Mary was now awake but her body was weak from the poison. Her eyelids were too heavy for her to lift, she couldn't open her eyes.

She tried to lift her finger but it wouldn't budge. She tried to force her eyes to open but it was useless. All of a sudden, she felt something touch her leg. It was warm and rough.

It stroked her thigh. Mary felt uncomfortable from the touch. She wanted to know at least what was touching her.

She forced her eyes to open. She was staring into bright, shining lights on the ceiling. Then, she tilted her heavy head to the side and peeked down at her legs, moving her pupils.

She saw a blurry silhouette standing next to her legs. She couldn't tell who it was but she knew it wasn't Lucius. She tried her best to blink a few times and adjust her vision.

She could still feel the warm stuff, touching her thighs. After a few seconds, her vision became much clearer. She saw the man that poisoned her, touching her thighs.

She wanted to yell and hit the man but her body was still paralysed. She forced herself to open her mouth but she couldn't. The only thing she could do was stared at the man with disgust in her eyes.

Suddenly, the man looked up at her and noticed she was awake, staring at him.

"It seemed you're awake. Did you have a good sleep?"The man said, smiling sinisterly.

Mary remained silent, staring at him, her eyes showing hatred.

"Don't look at me with those eyes. Even if you look at me like that, what can you do? Call out to Lucius?"

The man laughed.

"He won't come to save you. He has something else to deal with now. Now, since you're awake, let's have some fun."

He moved his hands from her thighs to her waist. He placed his hands inside her clothes and touched her skin underneath her shirt.

She felt anger, burning inside her as she saw him enjoying himself while touching her inappropriately. But she couldn't do anything.

She glared at him, forcing herself to open her mouth. The man rubbed his hands on her skin, gradually getting close to her chest.

Help me. Please Lucius help me. She wanted to shout out so badly. Help me.

Suddenly, a faint sound escaped her mouth.

"Help...me...Lucius."Then, she noticed her mouth was opened, she was able to speak.

She raised her voice as loud as she could.

"Lucius!Help!Someone going to eat me! Help-" She was stopped by the man's hand.

His hands stopped touching her body instead they were covering her mouth.

"Shut up!"There was a terror in his voice."I already told you to give up! He's not coming to save you no matter-"

There were hissing sounds, coming from outside of the room. Even though Mary didn't know who was making those hissing sounds but she could feel a light of hope in those hisses.

She tried her best to make a lot of noise while being gaged by the man.

"Shut up!"The man warned her, whispering.

Abruptly, the door flung open, revealing Lucius. Lucius saw Mary and the man, his eyes widened and his pupils were sharp.

He rapidly examined the position Mary was in. Then, he stared at the man, dead in the eyes.

"Wait!" The man released Mary's mouth and shook his hands at Lucius. "Is not what you think! I was just taking care of her when you were-"

Lucius didn't let him have the chance to finish his speech. He dashed towards him and hit the man with his tail. His movement was too quick for the man to react. He was slammed to the side of the room and he coughed out blood from the impact of the hit.

Lucius hissed aggressively at him and turned his sight to Mary, worriedly. He slithered next to Mary, looking at her condition. Mary could feel tears slowly filling her eyes at the sight of Lucius.

Lucius saw her tears and switched his gaze back to the man. He darted at him and clutched his head with his hand. His hand was bigger than the man's head, he almost covered his entire head with his palm. Then, he hit his head on the floor.

He repeatedly hit the man's head on the floor while the man tried to tear away from his grip, using his hands to hold on to Lucius's hand but it was useless. After a few hits, the man lost consciousness. Lucius still looked at him with no mercy in his eyes.

He still gripped his head, not letting go. Then, he crushed his head with his bare hand. The man's lifeless body lay there motionlessly on the floor, blood dripping down from his crushed skull.

Lucius's hand was dripping blood too from the man's hair, stabbing into his flesh. Lucius's hand and shirt were stained with his and the man's blood.

He tore away all the black and white hair from his hand, using his uninjured hand. Blood spattered on the wall as he tore them off of his flesh.

Then, he hastily slithered back to Mary's side, who was still laying there unable to move.
