A DEVIL OR AN ANGEL

They were enjoying the moment, having their heart to heart talk. Abdullah was still patting her head when Darifa walked in and the mood seemed strange. She pauses for a while before moving closer to them. Ella, felt very uncomfortable but Abdullah didn't care as he kept on patting her head.

"What's with the atmosphere?"

Darifa asks as she moves closer and drops her bag on the seat which was beside Abdullah. After her ex friends switched up on her, she changed her sitting position.

Ella was about to cover it up, but Abdullah stopped her.

"Nothing serious, I just enjoy patting my dear Azara's head."

The reply was accepted as Darifa never suspected anything unusual. Ella was nervous, scared to her bones, because of what had happened earlier that day. But Abdullah acted cool as if nothing happened.

Asma noticed Ella was very uncomfortable and worried, sometimes she would just go off in a discussion and get deep lost in thoughts. It really didn't seem to sit well with her so she decided to ask. "Ella is everything okay with you?"

There was no reply, Ella was present but her mind was absent, sitting on the chair and staring at the door lifeless, she caught the attention of her other friends, Abdullah knew what was wrong but didn't say anything. Darifa shakes her gently to bring her mind back.

"Yes!!!" Ella exclaims with shock, but her friends stared at her with surprise, she knew she had gone far and they have been talking to her for a while and there has been no response. "Were you guys talking to me before?"

"Where did you go?" Asma asks again with a lot of concern.

"Ella, if anything is wrong with you, just tell us. We are friends." Darifa adds.

"I am fine, I just thought of what I experienced when I first came to the school." Ella gives a fake smile, but no one smiled back. They all knew she was lying, she wasn't going to tell them anything so she tried to change the topic. "Why are you calling me Ella in the first place? My name is Azara."

"You seem to back to life now." Darifa giggles and the rest joined in.

All through the day, Ella and Abdullah locked eyes a couple of times, which was more than usual and that gave her much to worry about. Probably because she was thinking about the pamphlet.

School hours were over and all students retired home, Ella got home and Vivian wasn't back from work yet. She sluggishly enters her room and brings out the pamphlet, stared at it for almost an hour that she didn't realize when Vivian came in.

Someone collects the pamphlet from her hurriedly, she looks up in haste and shock to see who it was and it happened e be Vivian.

"What we're you talking about?" Vivian asked very worried, even though she was stressed out she still managed to make time for Ella.

"Read the content."

Vivian eyes goes through the pamphlet hurriedly, and was surprised with what she saw. "Who once this?"

"Abdullah." Ella replies in a low tone.

"How did you come across this?" Vivian asks again.

"I told you I was going to school early because of one maths topic that was giving me issues right?" Ella asks and Vivian nods in agreement. "While solving I needed a calculator, and I opened his desk to check for one when I saw this."

"So? Did you guys talk about it?"

"He came in immediately I read the pamphlet, and we discussed randomly about it. He promised not to tell anyone."

"Thank God." Vivian sighs relief. "It's a good thing you brought the pamphlet home, but why did he take it to the school in the first place? Someone else could have seen it."

"He came to school early because he realized he forgot it at school, though he told me he brought it to school by mistake." Ella says.

"Don't let this bother you, everything will be fine." Vivian comforts.

"You remember i told you he gave me a name right?"

"Of course I do." Vivian tries to remember. "Azara right?"

"Yes." Ella nods. "He told me he gave me that name so I can live freely and happily. He told me to start a new life here."

"He seems to be a new boy, but we still have to be very careful." Vivian warns.

On the highway, going to work, the car started off and worked well until it got to the high way. Vivian's car suddenly stopped working, she was frustrated and so annoyed that she even cursed. "Goddamnit!!!! What am I supposed to do now, I don't even know a single thing about how this thing work." Vivian fumes as she steps out of her car and opens the car engine, stares at it for a while the close it in annoyance.

It was pretty early, the roads were still quite empty, she tried making a call and there was no signal too. It was as if the whole universe was against her that morning. Until a young man who seems to be of her age parked his car and stepped out to help her.

Immediately they locked eyes, they got each other's attention. We could say, love at first sight.

But this man looked familiar, he is Andrew!!! yes Andrew!!!! The assassin that worked for Jessie, the one who killed Ella's parents and grand parents.

Coming into the picture now, is he coming in as a devil or an angel?
