FRIENDSHIP

Ella's life was getting more interesting and peaceful, she was living with Vivian happily and her friends were always keeping her company, that moment was what she wished for a life time, but no matter how sweet and lovely the moment was, she still had something very important to do. To avenge the death of her parents and grand parents.

As time passed, Ella was growing and turning into the carbon copy of her mom. Sometimes, Vivian would just stare at her and start weeping. All in all, Ella seemed to find a little bit of happiness where she was at the moment.

Exam time was fast approaching, Ella and her friends helped each other out wherever they seem to be lacking. The friends made sure they were benefiting from each other and also improving academically.

One faithful morning came, Ella got to school earlier than usual, she already had it in mind to know, understand and solve one particular Maths topic that had been giving her issues for a while now, she doesn't just seem to get it right.

Ella sat, with her eyes busy on the textbook and her note book in support, she was very determined. All of a sudden, she realizes she needs a calculator, and she left hers at home. Confused for a while, not knowing where and how to get a calculator at that moment, so Miss Smith just decides to check her friends desks.

Asma's desk was checked first, she couldn't find any calculator in there. Ella sighs in disappointment and quickly opens Abdullah's. Immediately the desk was opened, a calculator was there smiling at Ella. She was very happy and picks up the calculator hastily, when she came across a small pamphlet.

Normally, Ella wouldn't have checked it, she doesn't like touching people's properties without their consent because she wouldn't like it when the same is done to her.

Miss Smith gently picks up the pamphlet and opens it, and what she saw made her almost peeing on herself.

The content was amazing and damaging. At first everything was written in italics, exactly like that of the person who dropped a note for her in her diary. Now to the content.

The first page says. 'The smith family was wiped out with today, and their daughter is missing. I wonder where that poor girl would be by now.'

The second page says. 'I saw the picture of Ella smith today, she seems to be of my age, I pray and hope nothing bad happens to her.'

The third page says. 'A particular woman, partnered with the Heart Rose hospital, and days after the owners family were wiped out. That woman seems very suspicious.'

The fourth page says. 'Ella smith is alive!! She is here in my school."

Ella's hands trembles in fear, her body was shaking, what if everyone else had seen this? What if they all know who I truly am? Am I still safe? What if someone informs Paul and his wife? So many thoughts ram through her mind at once, her heart was so heavy. She hoped for the world to pause for some minutes, because she was about to pass out.

Talk of the devil, Abdullah walked in that time, he was surprised to see Ella at school that early, but the surprise grew when he noticed the pamphlet in her hands. He hurriedly collects the pamphlet from her and scolds. "Why would you touch someone else's belongings just like that without permission?" Abdullah asks as he hides the pamphlet behind him, hoping she hadn't read the content yet.

Ella was speechless, her heart raced heavily and she was breathing very loudly out of fear and asks gently. "Why are you in school this early?"

"I came early, because of this pamphlet, I brought it to by mistake and forgot it yesterday." Abdullah says as he brought the pamphlet from its hideout and placed it on Ella's table. It was very obvious that she had already read the content. "This pamphlet has a very strong and powerful content that no one must see."

"Hmmm." Ella nods with a smile.

"What about you? Why are you in school this early?"

"I came to school early because of a particular maths topic that I have been having issues with, I was searching for a calculator and that was why I opened your desk, I am sorry for touching your belongings." Ella says and immediately buries her head in the textbook.

Abdullah stares at her for a while, he had caused another trouble for his dear Azara again. He knew she wasn't going to ask any questions and that was only going to make it worse, so he decides to start up a conversation. "Do you know Why I gave you a new name?"

Ella raised her head and looks at him for a moment before answering. "No."

"So that you can start a new life, forget your past and live boldly here, then plan on how to go back and do what is necessary for you to do."

"It's not possible for me to forget, The pain I feel is like a heavy dagger stuck in my heart that I have to carry everywhere." Ella smiles again. "Paul and his family would surely pay for this."

"Why aren't you crying?"

"I have promised myself a while ago, not to ever cry again. No matter what happens, I have nothing to loose any more-"

"Instead of thinking of Paul, think of his wife." Abdullah cuts in." That woman is very suspicious."

"Why do you say that?"

"She is from a rich family, her father funded her partnering with your father's company-"

"She acted according to her husband's will, i mean she doesn't have any reason to do those terrible things to my family." Ella sighs. "It's of no use, since they will both pay the price-"

Ella was stopped by Abdullah's tight hug. "You are a very brave and strong girl, I love your courage so much." The hug went on for a while and when Abdullah finally left her, he smiles at her again.

"You dropped the note about Asma right?" Ella asks and Abdullah nods in agreement. "Can I have the pamphlet?"

"Why?"

"You were careless enough to bring it to school in the first place, Anyone else might have seen it. I can't afford to take any non profiting risks."

Abdullah sighs and hands over the pamphlet and Ella immediately keeps it in her bag.

"Why did you bring your diary to school?"

"I don't know." Ella laughs. "Maybe God wanted us to get close soon enough."

Abdullah took his seat which was next to her. "I don't think you should keep anything from me again. If you need anything, I am here for you."

"Thank you." Ella smiles with pains. "For everything, for keeping my identity and not exposing my secret."

"That's what friends do, they keep each other's secret. That's the real meaning of friendship." Abdullah says with a smile and pats Ella gently on her head.
