THE CLASS BULLY IS BACK

"Where are you going to?" The woman asks forcing Jessica to halt.

Jessica faces the woman and moves closer to her again a bit. "I don't know where I am going to, but I just want to leave this place."

"To where? You have been away for months now. You I didn't even try to talk to you mom or see if there is any improvement in her health. You just want to leave like that?"

"She is mentally ill, what else do you want me to do. At least she is still alive." Jessica says and pulls her face cap again, dropping it on the receptionist's desk.

"But you still need to spend some time with her, maybe she can probably get healed just looking at your face." The woman says hopefully.

"Get healed?" Jessica asks and scoffs. "She doesn't even know who I am."

"Ever since your mom is here, you have never tried to spend anytime time with her, may I know why?" The woman asks .

"What's the use of it anyways, it can't bring back her health and change what has already happened." Jessie whispers and cleans the tears rolling down her cheeks as she speaks.

"Are those tears?" The woman asks again with surprise. She has known Jessica to be one of the toughest ladies in the area, she is practically a nuisance. Seeing her shed tears was so surprising.

"Nobody understands why I just avoid her." Jessica furthers as the tears keep flowing out her eyes. "I feel so bad to see her in this kind of horrible position. Do you expect me to be happy coming to check on my mom in a psychiatric hospital? first in prison, now a psychiatric hospital."

The receptionist holds Jessica's hands which were as hard as rocks. "I understand how you feel but what can we do? All we have to do is keep hoping that she gets better as soon as possible."

"I hope so too." Jessica says and wipes off her tears then looks at her mom. "My mom looks so different now."

"I still insist you spend some time with her." The woman whispers and takes a peep at Jessica's hand. She realizes she is holding something. "Did you bring something for her?"

"No." She retorts. "It's mine, I didn't come with nothing for her."

"You should always come and check on her from time to time now, and make sure you buy something for her while coming. It could be snacks or something like that." The woman pauses and sniffs around. "You reek of alcohol as a matter of fact."

"I drink my sorrows away." Jessica replies bluntly.

"Is that another alcohol in that bag too?" The woman asks.

"Yes." Jessica nods. "It's for the night, I have to drink myself to sleep."

"But how did this happen to your family? Your grandfather is a known businessman. How did everything just take a terrible turn in a matter of days? How can a descendant of that great family live like this?"

"It all happened because of a girl." Jessica whispers.

"A girl?" The woman asks with confusion.

Jessica smiles and puts her face cap back on. "I will see you soon ma'am." She says and leaves without taking a look at her mom and fighting tears back.

Julie felt something special as her daughter walks pass her side, but because she is mentally derailed, she couldn't recognize her own daughter too. She just followed Jessica with her eyes until she disappeared.

Jessica walks briskly like the tough girl she has lived like for the past ten years. Once again, she remembers how Ella had bring her entire family to ruin, the pain in her chest increased, she became very restless. So she takes out the bottle of alcohol and gulps down a little, cleaning her mouth with her arm. The young lady continues to walk until she arrives at her destination. The place where it all started.

She stands at the front of the school where all the troubles and calamities started, the school where she had met Ella ten years ago. The memories of the first day she saw Ella, up till the last day is still fresh in her memory like it happened yesterday.

Without making any mistakes, Jessica remembers how she tried to bully Ella and make life difficult for her but it didn't work out, as Ella kept on fighting back. She had even gotten some punishments because of Ella.

In Jessica's mind then, Ella was an annoying girl who stole all the shine meant for her. As annoying as the situation was, Jessica still bear it all until her mom Julie interfered.

Those moments Jessica knelt to beg Ella just to forgive her mom refuse to go away or stop hurting and pinching. After her mom and grandfather were jailed, her grand father died in the prison and loneliness turned her mother into a mentally challenged human. All this while, Jessica had to live and fend for herself all through.

It wasn't easy to live all by yourself knowing the reason that happened was because of a young girl just of your age. Jessica had to cook for herself even though it tastes very bad and gets burnt most of the time. She even has to live in their apartment all alone. The most devastating of all is that she had to quit school. Her life is a complete mess, a real definition of mess.

She is currently living a life with no dream or ambition. All she thinks Is what kind of alcohol to drink each day. She has no friend whatsoever. Her dream of becoming a doctor went down the drain just like that all because of Ella.

"Ella Smith, brace yourself. The class bully is back again. I won't allow you live freely after taking my joy away from me. I will make sure you life is just as miserable as mine. You shall know no peace as far as I am alive."
