CREDIT ALERT

Ella slept the previous night brooding over the misunderstanding she had with her brother, writing it out in her diary was another problem on the other hand. She stands sluggishly from her bed and looks at Abdullah who is still sleeping like a man who cut down a log of wood the night before. She sluggishly stands from her bed and goes out of her room, not to do anything special but just take a walk around the house since she woke very early.

She heads to the sitting room and looks round the place then smiles at the family portrait broadly. In the picture, she holds Kim in her hands while Shamim holds Kylie, both of them are standing while the parents sat. "This picture is so old now, I think we need to take another one." Ella murmurs to herself and sits on one of the single seater couch, she almost sit on a cell phone but thankfully she didn't. "Whose phone is this?" She asks herself and double taps the screen, the screen pops up with a picture of Asma and some messages highlighted on the screen.

Amongst those messages, a particular message leaves Ella so short of words. It was a credit alert sent to her as a message from the bank she associates with. "Who sent this amount of money to Asma?" She asks herself and tries to read more but unfortunately, she can't because the phone is locked and she has no idea on what the password is. "This is driving me crazy." Ella whispers still looking at the message. "Just yesterday, I caught her looking for something in my wardrobe, now, someone is sending her this amount of money? I can't help but keep on suspecting her."

Asma suddenly rushes out of the visitor's room which she slept to the sitting room wearing a lot of worry and fear on her face. She halts in fear when she sees Ella. "Hello."

"Hi." Ella replies bluntly still holding into her phone.

"I can see you are up very early this morning." Asma whispers rolling her eye balls in a very nervous and uncomfortable manner.

Ella stares at her friend for a while not giving any replies and says In her mind. "Asma, you are rolling your eye balls again. Talk to me, I know something is wrong." She smiles and says to her friend. "As you can see my dear."

"What are you doing with my phone?"

"Why are you standing there and talking to me?" Miss Smith replies with a question too.

Asma summons courage and walks closer to her friend. "I just woke up now and I found out my phone isn't with me."

"I have it here." Ella stretches the phone to her friend.

"Thanks a lot." Asma tries to collect the phone but Ella is still holding on tightly to the phone tightly. She looks at her friend and asks almost whispering. "You didn't go through my did you?"

"What's the matter, is there something very bad for me to see?"

"No." Asma shakes her head. "I just don't like people invading my privacy."

Ella releases the phone and smiles. "it's no big deal, I do not know your password anyways."

"Thanks." She appreciates it with a forced smile and walks briskly back into the visitor's room.

Shamim on the other hand, is still finding it very difficult to find some sleep at the very least. He slept earlier but it only lasted about three hours. "It's too early for me to start preparing for work." He checks his phone for the time again and it's just barely past 4 am. "It's still very early, I wonder why I find it hard to get some sleep when I have to go to work later."

Left with no choice, the young sleepless man sits on his bed, turns on the lights and picks up his phone. At first, he has no idea what to do with his phone but then he remembers his supposed ex-girlfriend, Cassandra. "Let's see, she might be awake." He sends her a text saying. "Hi Casandra." Shamim dropdown his phone expecting a reply from who he had just texted, his memory flashed back to the scene between him and Ella, he knows he said too much and is wrong but he refused to admit to that fact.

After two minutes of denying himself the reality, he finally gets a reply from Cassandra. He smiles immediately his phone beeps. "That must be her." He checks the message with smiles and they chatted for a while when Shamim suddenly felt the urge to eat and drink something very chilled. With a lot of excitement he got from the chat, he walks out if his room to head to the kitchen but he saw his sister already dozing on the couch in the sitting room.

Naturally, he would have just carried her inside or tapped her to go into her room but because of the misunderstanding they had the night before, he felt very remorseful and thought of how he could wake her up without making it look intentional or as if he cared. He stares at her for a while and whispers to himself. "This sleeping posture is very terrible." He sighs deeply and clears his throat very loudly just to wake Ella and then head to the kitchen.

Shamim achieved his aim on Ella because she opens her eyes immediately and looks around, then walk back inside her room ignoring her brother which she saw and knew woke her up on purpose.

He is so shock with his sister's reaction to what he did, though he had pretended to head to the kitchen but at least he wants her to say something to him. He turns and watch her walk away then whispers to himself again. "I guess she is mad at me."

Ella opens the door and she wakes Abdullah up. "Sorry I woke you up." She says with a smile and walks to the bed.

"Where did you go?" Abdullah asks yawning and rubbing his eyes with his palms.

"I just went out to check something."

"Alright, please come to bed." Abdullah says and lays back to sleep.
