WHAT HAPPENED TO ME?!

Linda opens her eyes gently and finds herself on the bed, sleeping with all her clothes on. "What happened to me?" she asks herself murmuring. She struggles to stand and when she finally did, she staggers and quickly holds the chair in her room. "How did I get here? What happened to me?" She inhales sharply. "I can't remember anything at all." She walks slowly to her father's room and sees him sitting on the bed and putting on his glasses. "Good morning dad."She greets in her lowest tone.

"Why does your face looks this unhappy?" Paul asks ignoring her greetings.

She feigns a smile and sits to him. "I just feel a little weak."

"Oh! I guess you need adequate rest then. Don't stress yourself today and just eat and sleep."

"Yes." Linda nods. "By any chance, do you remember how you got to the bed?" She asks saying out her words one after the other.

Paul looks away trying to remember but later shakes his head. "No, I guess I was out yesterday."

Linda nods her head with smiles just for her father to see but deep down in her heart, she knows something really happened the night before, something strange that even made her unconscious. The last thing she could remember was her walking into the rented apartment with her father. "Father, stay in here, I will go get our food now."

"Why not just make the order?" Paul asks not feeling comfortable.

"Nothing much, I just want to use the opportunity to talk a walk around." She stands and smiles. "Don't worry, I will be back soon." Linda leaves the room with a lot of thoughts in her mind. "What happened yesterday? Why can't I seem to remember to anything?" She comes across one service attendant. "Hello ma'am." She greets with a lot of smiles.

"Hi ma, how was your night? I hope you are enjoying your stay at this place."

"My night was fine, thank you and I am really enjoying my stay here."

"That's so good to hear, please let us know if you need anything." The service attendant says and tries to leave but Linda holds her back with her request.

"I have a request to ask of you." Linda whispers. "Please, can you do that for me?"

"What is that?" The service attendant asks. "If it's something I can do for you, I will gladly do it."

Linda moves closer to her and asks. "By any chance, are there any cctv cameras in here? The corridors to be precise."

"Actually, we don't have any. Our customer's privacy means a lot to us. But why are you asking such question?"

"Nothing." She shakes her head with smiles. "I just wanted to be sure if you are keeping your promises."

"Of course we do." The service attendant giggles.

"I will see you around some other time." Linda says and continues her journey, but she asks in her mind again. "What really happened last night?"
