THE LETTER

She found the house attractive and aimed to get inside but all to no avail, she tried about six times, but the seventh time it got successful. "Finally!" She exclaims. "I have gotten into the beautiful house!" Matching gently into the main building with a lot of happiness, she notices that the inner part of the beautiful house she had admired all along is one of the ugliest thing in earth. "Why is it so ugly on the inside?" She asks herself and all of a sudden Cecelia opens her eyes to life. She had been dreaming all along.

"Are you okay?" Ella asks as she bends towards her.

"I hope this isn't Heart Rose." Cecelia whispers.

"No, we can't be stupid enough to take you back to the devil's domain." Abdullah says.

"What happened to me? How did I get here?" She asks again looking round.

"You already loss consciousness when we arrived at the place, so we rushed you here."

Cecelia sighs deeply and whispers. "Thank you."

Ella gives her the bag. "We found this with you."

"Open the bag, there is a letter in it, Linda asked me to give it to you."

Ella sighs and drops the bag close to her alleged older sister. "Can I ask you a question?"

"I will be outside." Abdullah excuses himself.

"What is that?" Cecelia asks.

"Why did you call me of all people? Why did you even run away from your boss in the first place? And why did Linda send a letter to me through you?"

"Come closer." she whispers ignoring the tons of questions.

Ella moves closer to her. "What is wrong?"

Cecelia stetches her hand and touches the back of Ella's ear. Th protuding bone she also has meets with her fingers. "You have the bone too."

That action, tells a lot. If she knows about the protruding bone, then it is very obvious they are sisters. But Ella isn't ready to accept it. Until the DNA tests she already requested for while Cecelia was unconscious is out, she won't believe any speculations. Ella clears her throat and moves back to her normal position. "The doctor said you can go back home when you wake."

"I have no where to stay."

Ella looks at her sister irritatedly, "why is she playing so many pity cards now?" She asks in her mind. "I will host you for a few days, probably till when your wound is fully healed."

"Thank you so much." Cecelia smiles broadly with her very dry lips.

"I will never accept you as my sister, no matter what." She says in her mind again.

***********

Miss Smith steps out of the ward with the envelope holding the letter Linda had written to her. She reluctantly opens it and starts reading the content.

'You have every possible right to resent me, and I won't even apologize because i don't worth nor deserve your forgiveness. All the same, I am glad of the kind of woman you became. My mom happens to be a psychopath that even had her own terrible act written as a story. We have to run from her, but we can't do that together, so I decided to send your sister to you, live a good life with her and make Heart Rose what they father wanted it to be.'

She didn't know she was crying until the tears dropped on the paper. "Why am I even crying?" She asks no one in particular and wipes off the tears in her eyes with the back of her palm.

"Is everything okay?" Abdullah asks as he approaches her.

"She is changing into the clothes we got for her."

"Where is she going to stay? For the time being?" He asks again.

"I guess with us, since she is injured and can't doesn't have a very safe place to stay." She wipes her eyes with her palm.

"What is in that letter that is making you cry?" He asks and gently collects the letter.

"This terrible fate of ours isn't just fair." She sobs. "Why do we have to be in this mess? Why me of all people?"

"It's fine, don't cry again." Abdullah whispers and embraces her.

"It's so difficult to take in."
