BREAKFAST

Ella walks behind Abdullah and Cecelia, she looks at them with high interest as he helps her walk because of the wound she has. "Is it possible for me to accept her as my sister?" She asks again in her mind.

"Welcome." Asma greets and quickly renders more assistance to help Cecelia sit.

"How are you feeling now?" Shamim asks.

"I am doing fine now thank you." Cecelia replies with smiles.

"I prepared something for us to eat, I will go set the dining table." Darifa says and excuses herself."

"I want you to feel at home and ask for anything you need." Asma says with smiles. "There is also an empty room here, you can occupy that for now."

"Linda mentioned a novel in the letter she wrote to me. What is it all about?" Ella asks cutting Amsa off the friendly and welcoming conversation.

"I have no idea, all I know is there is something very peculiar about that novel because...." Cecelia stops talking.

"Because of what?"

"Linda's mom has about six different copies."

"There is definitely more to the book, do you have any idea about the title?" Ella asks again.

"Yes." Cecelia nods. "The title is The Heart of a Lucifer."

Shamim frowns a bit. "The title sounds frightening and devilish."

Ella scoffs. "What do you expect? Jessie is a devilish being herself."

The statement makes everyone exchange short glances.

Shamim clears his throat. "Please, let's go to the dining."

"You said too much." Abdullah whispers to her ears.

"But that's the fact." Ella whispers back.

"Please eat up." Darifa says with smiles as everyone settles at the dining.

With a close eye, everyone watches the sisters, the both of them pick up their fork and the first they do is to pick out the shrimps which Darifa deliberately added.

"Look at them, they are doing the same thing." Shamim whispers to Abdullah.

"Why did you add shrimp?" Ella asks after she was done picking the shrimps. "I don't eat them."

"Will you like to have more shrimps?" Cecelia asks Asma.

"Yes." she nods gently.

Cecelia hands the entire shrimps she and her sister had carefully pick out of their food to Asma. "Here you go."

"You don't eat shrimps too?" Ella asks the obvious.

"Hmm." she nods and starts eating.

"You both seem to have a lot a thing I'm common." Darifa comments.

Cecelia looks up and smiles. "Apart from

The shrimps, what else do we have in common?"

"You have your hair up, just like your sister." Asma replies with smiles.

She looks at her sister and shrugs her shoulders. "Might be a coincidence you know."

"You take things lightly just like her too." Abdullah adds.

"Really?!" Cecelia asks stressing the last syllable but the shiny diamond ring on her half sister's finger catches her attention. "What is this? Are you engaged?"

Ella clears her throat and hides the finger. "Mind your business please, I don't like chatty people." she snubs.

"That was rude!" Shamim reprimands immediately. "She is your sister."

"The only sisters I have are in Burundi." Miss Smith retorts.

Cecelia drops her cutlery and sighs deeply. "It's hard for you to accept me right?" Ella gives no response. "So is it for me too, although I have lived most of my days as a certified loner, but I had never thought or imagined that I had sisters somewhere." she picks up her cutlery and continues eating. "Do not worry, I don't wish to be a burden too, as soon as my wound heal, I will leave this country and return to where I came from."

"Please do not overreact." Asma whispers to her. "I think she is not just in a good mood for now."

"Who are you engaged to? Is he here?" Cecelia persists.

"Is Ella really engaged now?" Shamim asks with confusion written over his face.

"She actually got engaged this morning around 3:00 am." Abdullah says a bit shy.

"What? You already proposed to her?!" Darifa asks at the top of her voice.

"Yes." He nods with smiles.

"Wow! Let me take a look at your ring." Shamim whispers staring with great interest.

Ella shows off her ring by waving her hand. "What do you think, isn't it beautiful?"

"It's more than beautiful!" Asma admires.

"I can't believe everything is happening so fast between you both. Just last night, you had issues and this morning you are engaged." Darifa comments.

"What's more surprising is the fact that he didn't discuss it with anyone of us before taking the decision." Shamim inhales sharply. "You are indeed a man."

Asma claps happily. "Congratulations my darlings. I can't wait for you to have kids so I can be the godmother."

"Godmother?" Darifa scoffs. "How can you mention that when I am right here?"

"What is that supposed to mean?" Asma asks too raising her brows. "I am not allowed to be a godmother?"

"Well well well, ladies, I possibly can't relate cause I have no one to compete with. I am certainly going to be the godfather of all her kids."

"We aren't even married yet nor pregnant, but you all sit there and talk about that?" Ella clicks her tongue and shakes her head. "You are so unbelievable."

"What's the big deal, they are probably just preparing for the future." Cecelia whispers enjoying her meal and her words managed to draw the attention of everyone. "Why are you looking at me like that?"

"What about you? Don't you want to be the godmother?" Asma asks saying her words carefully.

"I will be the aunt anyways, that is more than enough for me." she looks at Ella and smiles. "Congratulations, Ella smith."

Ella raises her brows. "Thank you, let me make one thing clear, don't ever try of taking up 'Smith' as your surname."

"I don't plan to do that." Cecelia pours herself a glass of juice.

"What did you just say?" Ella asks with a frown.

"I don't like the surname." she replies and sips her juice. "But I think it suits you well."

"How was life before coming to Nigeria?" Darifa asks out of the bus.

"My life was perfect, I was a young lady full of ambitions, the only thing that disturbed me was the fact that I had a mother who didn't want to see me." she exhakes deeply. "If I could turn back time, I will chose never to step

Into this country."

"Do you really mean that?" Ella asks with her voice a bit subtle.

"Can't you see, I am having a lot of responsibilities day by day. Outside Nigeria, I am nothing but a young lady living a good life. But here, I am a someone who has to protect her two sisters from her psychopath mom." she whispers and everyone stares at her for a moment.

"Do you have a boyfriend?" Shamim asks trying to brighten up the mood and atmosphere.

"I am not interested in such things." she replies bluntly and sips her juice again.

"Then you have no plan on getting married and having kids?" Asma asks with an unsatusfied look on her face.

"I can always opt for an In viltro Fertilization process."

"What?!" Everyone asks loudly.

"Hmmm." she mutters with a nod.

"So you mean you have no plans on either getting married?" Shamim ask to be sure.

"I have no plans on getting married, but I do have plans on having kids." she forces a smile out u her lips. "I really do love babies."

"But why do you chose not to have any romantic relationship?" Shamim asks again.

"Because I don't seem interested in it." Cecelia uses her fork to pick the steak meat in Asma's food. "This looks so tasty!" she forces it all into her mouth.

"Who told you you can steal my steal meat?!" Asma asks yelling.

"I still have more it in the kitchen, just go get another one." Darifa whispers.

"Please be nice to her, she seems so pure and calm." Abdullah says to his wife to be.
