27. Find Gloria's Body

Throughout the party, they fixated on Mr. Stuart. The older man still seemed to be chatting with some guests. There was nothing strange about his movements and behavior. But a big question still lingers in Jasper's mind, especially Zalina's.

Zalina has never been wrong in seeing the future. Everything she sees from the hands of the people he touches always happens. Even how much Zalina prevents it, their destiny always comes.

"Jasper, could they be fighting or living apart? Maybe Mr. Stuart wasn't getting along with his wife, so he didn't know Mrs. Gloria died." Zalina tried to guess.

"I don't know. Should we find out?"

Even though Jasper was a god, who was bestowed some abilities by Moon Goodness in the past, for some reason, he lost his abilities. Living for hundreds of years and mingling in society, Jasper has to live like a normal human being. If he still had divine powers, he could read Mr. Stuart's mind or come to their house without anyone knowing.

"How?'" asked Zalina.

Jasper did not like small talk or minding other people's business, but because this time he was so curious, he had to get out of the principle he always held.

"Talk to him, of course."

Jasper took Zalina to follow and to chat with Mr. Stuart.

"Mr. Stuart, I almost forgot something. Yesterday when I met your wife, she wanted to invite us to dinner soon, but I haven't accepted her offer yet. Please tell your wife tomorrow night we will come to your house."

Mr. Stuart wore a surprised face, but it was only for a moment. He smiled and replied, "With pleasure, our door is open for you."

"Thank you, Mr. Stuart. Did she tell you about the dinner invitation?"

"Yes, yes, of course. My wife told me about the invitation. I almost forgot if you didn't say so."

Zalina and Jasper are increasingly convinced that Mr. Stuart is hiding something. The man is lying.

"You and your wife are very generous. Thank you, sir. Oh, you and Zalina haven't gotten to know. Mr. Stuart, this is my sweetheart Zalina Roston. Zalina, introduce him to Mr. Stuart. Yesterday we met his wife at the boutique." Jasper gestured for Zalina to shake hands with Mr. Stuart.

Zalina smiled as she reached out her hand for a handshake. Mr. Stuart greeted him as he introduced himself.

Their conversation continued to discuss other things, while Zalina looked uneasy. She didn't have a chance to talk to Jasper about what she saw when she shook hands with Mr. Stuart. On several occasions, Jasper wanted to withdraw from them, but they were still interested and enthusiastic to chat with Jasper.

"Jasper, there's something important."

Jasper understood Zalina's point, he must go, and he was forced to interrupt there.

"How is Zalina? What do you see?"

"Jasper, this is bad. I hope he doesn't feel my body shaking when shaking hands."

Jasper continued to watch Mr. Stuart after Zalina told him what she saw

"We have to get to his house before he comes back. I've noticed he's been drinking a lot. If he's drunk, it will benefit us.

"But do you know his address?" Zalina asked.

"That's easy. Come on!" said Jasper.

Jasper and Zalina decided to leave the party and planned to visit Mr. Stuart's house. They had to move quickly before Mr. Stuart returned.

On the way to the exit, Jasper and Zalina passed by Chelsea. The woman couldn't believe Jasper had come to the party with Zalina. Jasper rarely went to this kind of party, especially with a woman. What made her even more surprised was the existence of Zalina by Jasper's side.

"Jasper, I didn't know you were coming. If I had known you were interested in this party, maybe we could have come together instead of you coming with Zalina," said Chelsea.

There was no time for them to serve Chelsea's word.

"Sorry, Chelsea, we've had enough of the party. Please enjoy the party. We're sorry!" Jasper did not respond to Chelsea's remarks about Zalina.

Zalina also kept her mouth shut because she didn't want her meeting with Chelsea only to slow them down. When Jasper pulled Zalina through the door, Chelsea had a frown on her face—surprised to find Jasper with Zalina mixed with annoyance into one.

Jasper and Zalina arrived at a house with a high iron fence. According to the address Jasper found, that's where Mr. Stuart's family lived.

"Are you sure this is his house? But why is it so dark around it?" Zalina asked, looking around Mr. Stuart's house.

"We'll find out," Jasper replied. They both then got out of the car.

Jasper pressed a doorbell mounted by the gate several times, but there was no reaction from inside the house.

"Jasper, it looks like this house has no occupants. Look at the yard of his house. There are lots of dry leaves scattered about!"

Jasper decided to get into the house by climbing over the iron fence. He could have broken the wall with his hands, but that would have scared Zalina.

"Zalina, you wait here! I'll go inside the house."

"But I can climb too, Jasper."

"You're wearing a dress. You stand guard outside. Call me if anyone comes!"

Zalina was disappointed that she couldn't accompany Jasper into Mr. Stuart's house. However, what Jasper said was true. She would have difficulty climbing the iron fence with her dress.

"All right, I'll be waiting for you here. Jasper, Mrs. Gloria was found on a brown fiber rug. Her bedroom door is black." Zalina tries to remind.

"I understand." Jasper then entered the house using the light from his cell phone.

Less than half an hour, Jasper had returned to Zalina. He managed to get in by breaking one of the house's windows.

"How? What did you find? Is Mrs. Gloria's body in there?" asked Zalina.

Jasper shook his head. "Nothing. All the bedroom doors in this house are white. Mrs. Gloria didn't die in this house."

Jasper then came out again by jumping over the fence.

"Then how about it, Jasper?"

"Let's go first before anyone gets suspicious!"

Jasper and Zalina then got into the car. At the same time, they saw a car's headlights from behind. Jasper gestured for Zalina to hide.

The car stopped right in front of Mr. Stuart's house. Not long after, a woman got out of the car to open the fence.
