Christopher Hallowswift, aged 14, is killed in a brutal road accident in an attempt to rescue his younger sister, aged 13, from certain death. Upon shutting his eyes for good, he finds himself within a dimly lit room, where he meets someone who claims to be a Goddess, specifically, the Elder Goddess of Eternal Night, Alastor, who is also called the 'Marionette Goddess.' After a painful introduction, Alastor reveals to him that he is eligible for reincarnation, and for a reason unknown, his sister is as well. After a major boost in his physical and magical capacity, he is reincarnated to a world parallel to Earth with a cute and mysterious familiar, Est, by his side.
