Chapter4:Abandoned City(2)
"These are ALCHEMY RECIPES!!!"
Like those in most novels that contain an ancient recipe which gives the mc op boosts.
Wait,if these are alchemy recipes....
His eyes looked over the hundreds of glass bottles and his breathing grew labored.
Like a ghost,his body moved across the floor heading towards the closest bottle in sight.
Just before touching the bottle his hand froze as he saw his already mangled hand.
Pwachh!!
He slapped his cheeks to clear his mind.
C'mon,Will,you already forgot your own advice.
Looking back at the bottles,he slowly stretched his hand towards one of the bottles.And...there it was.
The invisible force.
His face paled at the thought of what would have happened if he carelessly grabbed for the bottles.
He retracted his outstretched hand,and slowly backed away.
He returned to the center table,and stared at the treasure trove of recipes.In the end he decided to leave them,as at current he had no sufficient storage method....unless his pockets count.
He decided to leave the room as he couldn't really use anything.
Standing outside the alchemy room he stared at the other six cave-openings.
Two down six to go.

A few minutes later.
Six down only two left to go.
He sat against the cavern wall,looking at the remaining two openings.
One was the library and the other opening had steps leading further downwards.
The people who lived here had some strange stuff.
The first room he entered after leaving the alchemy chamber,had only one object inside.
A giant white spherical orb.
It also had something the others didn't,proper flooring.The cave had marble flooring and the walls was smooth without any protrusions.
Seeing nothing else in the room he didn't stay long.
The second room was the creepiest.A dark room with only multiple of a single object inside.Mannequins.
Tens of creepy wooden mannequins.Standing motionlessly,all looking at me.
I really wish I could forget that scene.
After I walked further into the room,the wooden mannequins began being replaced by metal ones.
Those bastards gave of a whole other feel.
When I got close,a chill ran down my spine.Then and there I decided never to go back to that room.
Who the HELL would stay in a room filled with creepy mannequins?!!!
The third room,well there was nothing.
Stepping into the cave I saw nothing...pitch dark.
It felt like the time he spent in the void.
If I stayed to long in that room I was damn sure I would have gone crazy!
Then came the fourth,a close second.
A church.
The fourth opening had a church like structure
taking up almost all the space.
And damn wasn't it creepy.
The room was dimly lit by red crystals.Giving it a eerie vibe.
The walls was made out of a black rock.It had stained glass windows.The place looked like it came straight out of a horror movie.
That wasn't even the worst part.
The worst was the strong scent of iron permeating the air.
It grew stronger with each step I took.It got so strong my stomach churned with each step,almost causing me to spill my stomach contents.
The scent was already so strong,and it was only half way.How strong would the scent near the church be.
Due to the growing scent he decided I turned back before reaching the huge black doors.
I decided to hold of on the library as I'm sure it would take a while to search through the books for information.
I guess it's time for some reading.
I stood up from the floor and moved to the library opening.
Just like the others after walking through the opening,an expansive cave filled with bookcases all containing,well,books.
There was also sparsely placed reading benches around the room,for comfortable reading.
Phew.
There is way more books than I thought well,it's to be expected.
After all this time I still can't figure out how all these could lead to such mass caves,and they were all placed next to each other.
I walked over to the closest bookcase,and reached for a worn out blue book.
His hand inches away from the book his old friend,the invisible force returned.
OH C'MON!!!!
COULDN'T YOU HAVE STAYED AWAY!!!
Knowing my outburst won't change anything,didn't stop me for throwing several curses.
It took me a few moments to calm down.
My shoulders hang powerless as I walk out the library.
The only room that could have any answers to where I am,useless.
Might as well go down.
I really don't want to.
Everything I saw up here made me extremely cautious towards the idea of exploring further.
Well,what choice do I have either stay up here and inevitably die or go down and have a slight chance of dying.
The choice is obvious but my body refused to move.
It took a couple of minutes of pep talk to gather the will to take the first step.
One.Two.Three.
Seeing as nothing happened to me,my vigilance
slowly dissipated.Each step giving me more confidence.
These steps are extremely long,well it should be expected seeing the size of the rooms on the upper floor.
The descent continued for a few minutes before something changed.
My body suddenly feels heavy,no that's not it....more like trying to move being submerged underwater.
I tried to move back,but,I couldn't step back forcing me to ho further down.
The further down I went,the harder it was to move.
It reached a point where it was heavy to breath and my back was hunched over.
Reaching the end of the steps,I saw a spherical orb identical to the one on the previous floor.
But,unlike that one the one before me glowed in a deep blue almost purple light.
My body grew ten times heavier an I fell on all fours,using my arms to support my upper body.
Hngghh!!!
I tried to get back to my feet but failed miserably as my body was slammed back against the cold dirt floor.
My consciousness slowly started to fade,but, before I fully lost consciousness something unexpected happened.
[Ding!]
[Sufficient supply of mana found.]
[Restoring of system functions will now begin.]
Suddenly it felt like a viscous liquid entered through my pores,causing me excruciating amounts of pain.It quickly grew unbearable and caused me to let out a beastly roar.
AAARGHHH!!!!
