Earning the Trust.

Lucius had now to gain the trust, of his people within his new empire. He had become a ruler through people who supported him due to their sheer desperation but as the city grew back there won't be many people who would readily support him.

"Sir Lucius, I have arrived as per your orders."

"Welcome, Carline Emriyu, have a seat."

Luicus had known that he wasn't enough to run the whole nation, he needed help to keep his reign lasting for a long time.

So, he formed a new council formed by the most highly qualified young adults in the country. Seating in front of Lucius was one of them.

"I've read your qualifications, they are quite remarkable, your work in advertisement and marketing is helping the kingdom."

"It's my honour to be acknowledged by you, My majesty."

"NO, you have been a great asset to our nation and now you are going to be rewarded for it."

"Reward?"

"Yes, you understand that we are a nation of traders and merchants, we live by trade. So, to run it properly we need proper management, the Geld Council."

"I know, my majesty, I already have informed you that I will be a working member of the committee, I wholeheartedly thank you for it."

"You're quite nervous, mentioning that you already knew it, while also being confused about it at first."

"Sorry."

"Don't be, I just suggest that you become more confident, the Rial of the Geld."

(A/N: 'Rial means Leader.")

Emiryu was now the chief in command of the economic council. the red-haired and sharp-eyed girl leads her in full esteem, working with Luicus to make changes.

Three new banks were opened in the country to help the business flourish, and help the poor raise out of poverty.

Currencies and tax laws saw a huge change on their part. The tax on imported goods was increased to cover up the decreases in tax on the Income of Miners and Peasants.

So and so, the economic changes were getting Luicus the praise of a good king but money alone can never win you the world.

Lucius had his eyes set on the idea of controlling people through religion. luicus started by conducting surveys around the kingdoms and he saw interesting results.

"The survey says, 79% of the people are not happy with my unacted nature towards religion, huh, WE need to change that."

Lucius held the construction of a large cathedral in a few days, The people who followed religion were now in support of Lucius and we sealed the deal by allowing the free acts of religion in the country.

Lucius even after all these developments were still concerned about the military power of the country, to think that it could not defend itself from an enemy attack still haunted Lucius.

He thought of a solution all the while doing other work but there were no ideas that worked, so he consulted his council for an answer.

"We need to fix our military situation, we are only good at buying military stuff and soldier, such as soldiers that have no loyalty and betray us during wars to run away or join other sides."

Emiryu carefully paying head to Lucius's words replied-

"The people are stuck in their comfort zone and they will pay any amount for war but won't fight themselves. Any forceful act of recruitment in war and lead to a total fallout between the government and the rich people."

"So, We do not have any option to fix the problems."

"We do have one, we will encourage poor peasants and miners who can't escape poverty to join our forces, they will act useful as they are hard workers, not Lazy bastards."

"This seems to be a big help, I hope that don't too many people join the army and leave basic activities behind."

"That won't be a problem, I'll be on the lookout for any problem in that case."

"Very well."

The final problem was now resolved the kingdom was becoming more self-sustaining and richer than ever. The military, government, and religion all helped the trust to grow more and more.

A few days, later Lucius received a letter, a letter with beautiful handwriting and just a few words inside it.

" Congratulations, Luicus Artrious, on becoming the king, Hope your reign doesn't end in the next 5 days."
