The Legendary pirate.

Lucius was in deep terror after the Letter telling him that his rule would end in the next five days.

It was a very bold proclamation for people who attack silently attack and destroy everything, but still, Luiucs had to find a way to save himself from the attack, and for that, he needed to act.

He sat before his advisors that day, considering the best courses of action and speculation about other matters.

"Lord Lucius, I still don't understand why would they tell us that they are attacking, if they work in shadows and use deception, this is a trap forcing us to do something... that'll work in their favour."

A senior advisor, Francis Kiln, presented his opinion to the council.

"I agree, with this why would they inform us about the attack, they surely have ulterior motives."

"I highly think of that but what if they want us just to think like this, they might be betting on our intelligence here."

The council was in deep deliberation about the purpose of the attack in the first place, if they could find a way to derive the purpose of a letter, they could do something about it.

The debate and consideration on different points went on while an interesting point was raised by an advisor.

"Why didn't they attack us early on, they could have struck the very next day or a week after Sir Foal's death but there was no threatening, pressing or any sort of attack by them."

The council, hearing the question, took a while to digest the thought and give their opinions completely.

"I believe they don't have many of those 'assassins', that are highly skilled but you can train so many... that can't send them for dying in every single attack on a rush."

Lucius, hearing the idea, tried to connect the dots and concluded.

"I think it is because of Asphodel."

"What?"

"Saxony hasn't been able to attack us since-

-𝐋𝐲𝐧𝐱 𝐟𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐀𝐬𝐩𝐡𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐥'𝐬 𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬."

"You are quite right, may Saxony have tried to push their luck in Asphodel and Lynx's conflict, where their luck ran out."

"The problem of us being attacked will be resolved through a conservative method."

"What do you mean by 'conservative', Sir."

"Have you heard of Edward Kenway?"

The eyebrows of the whole council were raised, the person thier king talked about was someone who was like a legend in the shipping world.

"The legendary Sea pirate?!"

"I read a book about his exploits, Why don't we call him to help us out here."

"But Sir, I believe he stopped being a Mercenary?"

"Give enough money and the devil inside him will come back. Send our fastest boats as messengers to Edward, with an offer of 20 chests of gold and 200 slaves."

The word 'slave' had stuck down the advisor's throat, the act of selling people's lives was no small matter, but Lucius talked about it like it was no big issue.

"Sir..."

'Yes."

No spoke a single word after that.

The council was shook but none raised thier voice in order to tell what was wrong, Lucius realized that his council needed to change.

" A bunch of yes men, I have. "

It was the middle of the Ocean, moving calmly and slowly, the man with golden hair slept with a hat on his face on a slightly inclined chair.

"Hey Edward, a job is up, saying they got some heavy money on their hands."

"Come on, Valen, I don't do these jobs anymore, get your crew and work it out."

'Nah, I told them, but they only want you for the job."

"Come on, Let an old man rest"

"Edward you are 30, don't act like some old geezer who can't walk without a rod."

"Ahhh, damn it,-"

Edward jumped off his chair and walked to the wheel of the ship.

"- how much is the pay?"

"20 chests of gold and any gold or money we capture is ours, along with 200 slaves."

"Interesting. that much payment, what is the job?"

"Taking a whole country's ports down."

A whole country's ports? A job that big was something Edward haven't done in a long while.

"That 'll be fun, tell them I agree."

"Yeah, I'll tell them."

Edward rolled the wheel of his ship and moved a fleet of 21 ships captured, bought, and self-constructed along with the ship.

There was no boat he didn't fight and no war of the seas he didn't enter. He was the most infamous man in the southwestern oceans of the world.

He sailed the ship with a combined 50 chests of gold and 25 chests of silver on his head, a hidden past, along with a rumour that he once belonged to a group of people who could kill at an inhuman level of stealth.

Edward Kenway was the ruler of The seas.
