Daggers and Black Flags

The garden stood with two men. One had the upper hand, and the other looked like he had everything to lose against the person in front of him.

"Who did you find her?"

"Well, the story is simple her mother was mortally wounded and died on a burning ship, but a villager nearby somehow put out the fire and saved the girl."

Edward gave a gloomy expression on his face not responding to anything.

"Or that is a certain man went to the ship after he was wounded and seemed to have run away, and rescued his daughter and then ran away after giving her to a villager."

"How do you know all of this?!"

Edward lashed at Lucius and grabbed his collar and asked for answers.

"Well, the necklace on her neck bought quite a bit of chaos to the insiders of the trade industry. Backtracking from there was not so hard."

Edward was now burning in fumes.

"If you lay a finger on her, I'll make you die the worst way possible!"

"I am not planning on doing so, until or unless you force me to."

"..."

"Go to hell."

Edward walked off the garden with anger in his eyes,

he was a father to failed to give his daughter a good life and carried with him a pang of guilt.

"Any flowers you want to send her?"

Edward stopped in his path while Lucius asked him a question.

"White Lilies. Also, her freedom if I win you all the war."

"It's a promise, then. A Man to Man promise."

Edward made a deal for his daughter's future which he would now change.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the kingdom,

The older man and his assassin had destroyed the village and planned to leave it behind. While the older man planned his return to his turf.

"What do we do with the children? Master."

"Generally we kill them but leave those behind, give them all the food you can leave behind. This generation's kids are too soft they don't understand the hardships of war. This will a good lesson."

No one knew why the older man came to the villagers' massacre. From his words, he just came to see The children's demise, or was there any other purpose?

"The plan should proceed as it was, kidnap or Kill Jennifer Wesh. Her death would bring us to close the stain of betrayal by the Kenway Family."

There was a long history of The Kenways having bad blood with the Assassins.

Now, the assassins had planned to end this struggle by killing Edward and his daughter.

The older man set for sail in his boat, which looked not so large, it could only be rowed by rafts, and it travelled over 30 km in less than 2 days while also hiding from all the navy protection.

So, were the skill and strength of assassins.

The Assassins were on their way to Kidnap/kill Jennifer to provoke Edward.

"Dear Edward, Old Man Zoan will surely get you this time."

While Edward was making his plans elsewhere to earn his daughter's freedom.

"Edward the rest of the fleet has arrived."

It was Vaas, a respected member of Edward's crew. He was the head of advice for upgrades and crew management.

He also happened to be the first person to join Edward's crew, excluding the existing members. At the same time, its formation but there was something else that made Vaas special.

" You seem down Edward. Did that king stick a nerve or something?"

"She is alive and in the Britannia's hands."

Edward pushed his words with a sad expression like a person barely keeping his composure up.

" You mean? "

"Yes, Jennifer is still alive."

Vaas was shocked, he only believed Edward's one and only daughter had died.

" I made a deal with that bastard, I am going to win this war and take her back with me."

"So that's why you hasted their return."

"Ya, tomorrow we set sail for the second fort...

I will end this very soon."

The next day Edward set his sail for the second fort. While the hoard of Assassins moved their way toward Jennifer.
