Cold day Masscare.

Edward had returned to Britannia and brought with him hope that Britannia's navy could win this war eliminating the idea that Britannia's military had no chance in this war.

Edward was held as a hero and had gained the respect of every influential citizen present. Words of his actions had been sent through all the other kingdoms.

The day after his return Lucius called out to Edward for a meeting in his garden. Edward had been interested to visit the garden as they were known to bore some beautiful flowers which grew nowhere else in the world.

"Hello, Lucius why do you have me here?"

"I told you to talk to me with a little more respect last time."

"Lucius to get in over in a word we stand on equal footing, so there is no reason for being formal let's talk more... Casually."

Lucius was stuck by these words but choose to ignore them and get to the point.

"Well, we have a report saying that you 'stole' all the loot there was present at the fort."

"There was nothing in our contract saying I couldn't."

"I am paying you 20 chests of gold here, don't get so full of yourself, Edward."

"I have paid you enough, haven't I? like imagine getting 3 newly never before seen designed boats added to your arsenal and you are bickering out some chests."

"It's not about the money Edward it is about the message you gave them. The idea that I am your servant begging you to fight for me in this war."

Lucius had enough of Edward's disrespect and he had to seal the deal right here to prevent any chaos.

"Well, if it's not true I'll just go elsewhere."

Edward bought out a small piece of paper from his hand. It had a 5-star stamp on it meaning it was from Axum. Lucius kept a straight face at the reveal of the paper while Edward opened it and started to read it.

"Sir Edward, legendary pirate of the western seas, we ask you to join our side of the battle in this war."

From the beginning, it just seemed like a normal invitation letter which had no value but the second part of the letter was what made it interesting.

"We shall compensate you respectively with 30 chests of gold and 15 chests of silver. You can steal any loot found and other benefits can be negotiated."

Edward read the last parts out loud and smirked at Lucius, showing that he held no power over him the fact that Edward was able to receive this letter told that Edward could bypass security easily but something was odd-

"- I don't care about other kingdoms inviting you to fight because you will only fight for me."

Lucius was unfazed and made a bold proclamation, Edward was surprised by his fact and wanted to know the reason.

"And why is that?"

"Do remember the name, Jennifer Wesh?"

Edward's face turned slowly from interest to shock, his face showed true denial,

there was no way Luicus ever could have known about her.

"How do you know that name?!!HOW?!"

"I don't know but did you know she is doing well and alive in Britannia's army centre."

"She's at the army centre?"

The words of her being alive meant everything to Edward, the name of the Girl whom Edward had stolen everything from.

It was a cold day near the small coastal town of Britannia, the fog was light and visibility was still high, the fisher was sitting near the dock and fishing and getting their equipment ready when one of them saw a boat incoming.

"Hey look a man is sitting on that one."

The ship reached the port and the man who looked old probably in his 40s stood and was approached by the town folk.

"Who are you? Where are you from?"

"Hello everyone, I've come here to meet an old student of mine but he is very stubborn and refuses to see me so I came here to help me talk to him."

"HUH...How can we help?"

The old man just wore a smile and said,

"By dying."

On these words a volley of arrows was shot all around the village, assassins entered houses and men, and women were slaughtered mercilessly. The kids could do nothing but see their parents die in front of their eyes.

The scream and cries of the people filled the town. Even after the massacre was over children were left to cry over their parent's dead bodies.

While the old man sat looking towards the ocean saying his prayers, while the water below him turned blue to red. It was a Tragic and Bloody morning.

A/n; Writing backstories for characters is hard. I am having a lot of problems writing Edward's backstory and making everything look in order and consistent. It will be shown in the next few chapters.

, My respect for authors who write multiple backstories while maintaining consistency increased a lot.
