Loose Ends

The informant had just reached the queen's castle, he burst through the door running straight for the queen's room, to present the argent information.

"My majesty, I have some urgent information about an important attack by Captain Shin!"

"Shin!?"

As he opened the doors to the queen's dorms uninterrupted by anyone, as the royal messenger had the freedom to freely move inside the castle carrying any important information, once confirmed by the outside guards.

"Show me."

The letter was given to the queen as the messenger tried to explain the situation while the queen, read the letter a greater surprise came to her.

The messenger informed her about the night assault, the letter, the condition and number of Yuuka's army and other things about the infiltrators.

"So, what is the current situation has the attack begun yet?"

"No, but seeing Asphodel's condition, the attack will begin right before noon, which means in a short while. They are trying to get as fast-paced as possible."

All these words went into the queen's ears as she began to process the whole situation in her mind.

"Yuuka... in the open... a letter...few hundred?"

"!!!"

Milize got goosebumps as she released the true extent of the level of risk taken by Yuuka but it was coming to him and it was a moment of great panic for Milize.

"Is there any way to stop the attack? A flare can't reach that much distance, damn it. They are making a big blunder here!"

All this caught the messenger dumbfounded who failed to understand what was going on.

" Mam, can you please Explain what are you saying?"

"Listen, the walk in the night is nothing but a ploy to decide the army side the camp, they were baited into thinking they got a huge chunk of the army, in their night assault but they are underestimating the size of enemy numbers. The real army is hiding somewhere and ready to attack."

"..."

The messenger listened with his eyes open, he was fazed by this level of deduction just from some words and points.

"And the act put up by the army is being used for calling them out faster. They somehow knew the back gate was blocked, so they forced the army to attack by opening the front gate and coming from the sides."

"This means the enemy commander risked his life with all of his captains to get one victory! This is

INSANITY!"

"Yes, it is truly insanity but the enemy is had a few screws loose and that is what makes them unpredictable. Now, my greatest fear is to stop the attack from happening and getting to know,

What are the objectives of the Infiltrators? They betrayed Asphodel but helped them too."

Asina could not do anything but sit and think about the infiltrators as she saw a cloud of white smoke.

"!?"

"Where is that much amount of smoke coming from? Another fire?-

Her words got shrilled and worried after saying the other prediction.

or A Flaresignal?"

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The location where the smoke came from was the capital. All the people near the flare could see it and so did the armies of Lynx who walked on the sides of the castle.

"!!!"

Suddenly soldiers burst out from the big forest surrounding the capital, and a large swarm of soldiers came running ahead towards the gate catching the enemy completely off guard.

Killing Lynx soldiers right to left, the Asphodel forces went on a complete massacre.

"Close the gates!'

The desperate Lynx armies could only close the gates locking their soldiers outside without any assistance.

Shin standing at the walls tried to set up several bowmen and guns planted to help their troops.

"We can't support them, they mixed with the Asphodel forces, we will only kill our comrades."

The archers and ranged support were useless, as the close-range battle made it impossible to differentiate from friend to foe.

The situation became a big victory which restored Asphodel's status at the sides with the greater odds of Winning.

Yuuka was sitting beside Vincent and Levi, who was now well he regained consciousness and informed, everyone about his recovery.

"This was the worst ever plan in the history of this Warfare! We could have easily lost the entire war due to your last action."

Levi openly exclaimed his anger at Yuuka's reckless and high-risk actions their lives could have ended very well in the night assault.

"The attack gave crucial information."

Yuuka paid zero heed to Levi's words, he saw something far ahead from the words.

"Crucail information?"

"There is no traitor among us and the voice of the call will betray us at any moment we stop disagreeing with its orders. So, the person on the other side is power-hungry and Self-serving. These people are a lot of fun to mess with and easy to manipulate."

For the first time, Yuuka said something as vile, as having fun with the enemy. He was changing slowly in the air of war. Vincent sensed this more than the unfazed Levi and tried to continue the conversation.

"So, are we listening to that voice now?"

"Yes, the next information delivered the voice will deliver will be the truth because of my victory after that we will stop listening to him at all positions. We need to tell them that we do not fear them."

Yuuka had conquered his fear of the Voice and he now wanted Revenge.
