Conquering The Masses.

While the Hunt of the Assassins hadn't calmed down one bit, Lucius Artroius had already decided his course of action. He was a stubborn person who completely believed and trusted his decisions, Yet.

"..."

As he sat on his chair alone in his room full of paper, a feeling of cowardice filled a part of his mind. The way he had become the king through betrayal and lies was he yet someone worthy of the throne?

"Heh?!"

A small smirk appeared on his mind as he reminded himself why he was still the king of the country. He had held his position through the hard times, somewhere any other member of the old cabinet would have only ruined the nation.

"I am the true king. I had to be."

He had brought prosperity to his nation and now he was ready to become the king of the entire nation. He already has the support of the greatest alive pirate Edward and his cabinet was filled with loyal members.

Lucius opened a small diary in front of him and used his pen, dipping in the ink and writing his further plans, something he had always done. Writing this down made his thoughts and plans clear and his mind could think more clearly.

The pages of the notebook were already filled as Lucius turned the pages in hopes of finding a clean one to write on, he found one and then began writing with the heading off,

"The Trust of Common Man."

Lucius had the known that the people of the nation never trusted him completely, conspiracy theories against him were brought up and talked about every day.

Despite what he had said to Edward about who the people are under him for their money but it was not entirely true, some people saw through these sugarcoated methods of control.

After all, even after providing people with jobs, good healthcare and happiness, people still protested against him as they understood that these days were very short-lived as soldiers were going to be recruited one day and the poor will be targeted then.

His current action wasn't getting him any good in people's eyes too.

"I need to get the public in control after the announcement of the live execution of the assassins. Those Rights for Humanity idiots won't shut up about this. So, I need something else to play here."

Lucius spoke as he wrote it down in his book, he had put some plans into play before Edward's arrival and today was the day. He would reap the reward of it.

"....!"

A knock on the door invited Lucius's attention and he kept his book in the drawer and then he answered the request.

"Yes."

"It's Lias, Sir. May I come in?"

"Sure."

A young timid-looking boy with black hair and a skinny body came from the door. He held a bag of paper with himself.

"Hello, Lias. It was a while ago since we last saw each other. I think you were working quite diligently."

Lias just smiled and nodded it was clear from his body language that he was nervous.

"Calm down, don't be so anxious. Just show me the things you wrote."

Lias brought out his papers, in those were filled the work of the young man. Poems and stories about the greatness of the old Ethereo and the Kingdom of Britannia under Luicus.

"They are quite wonderful, the stories are short yet they deliver a message. With our current reputation. It might be the best thing for me."

Lias Twin was the leading young author in the country, his work was the symbol of Etherian literature in foreign nations. He held special respect and was allowed to travel and stay in kingdoms as he wishes.

The masses were to be informed about the former glory of their nation, Lucius understands that the masses need to remember the old glory and power of the nation to be motivated enough to fight.

"'Break the Chains.' that poem seems really good."

"Thank you, very much."

Lucius made plans to publish the works and send them throughout the nation and even to foreign countries, he had Lias work for a long while as he compensated him with a good amount of money.

"Lias, I have a good other work for you to do, before you leave for another visit."

"Sure but please make it short, I need to be heading to Asphodel really soon."

"I see. I need you to write a romantic and mystery -filled play."

"What?... I can't see to do what, it will at least take 1 to 2 years' worth of time to think about any good play and I am sure you will require certain details. So, it is not possible."

"Don't worry. Write it freely during your travels. I will be providing you with the story's manuscript myself. You need to fill some holes inside the story."

"umm... Can I please ask what the story is about?"

"It is about an assassin who falls for his target and betrays everybody for her. It will be a tear-jerker for many if you write it properly."

The Blood is sacrificed and glory is brought through blood and history is written by victors. What happened during the Battle between Lynx and Asphodel? Only Asphodel will tell the tale.

Lucius will tell the tale of Edward and the assassins, so the leader will once come out. because the battle had been held for so long, it still a mystery about who leads the assassins.

"Lias, Do you know who leads the Saxony in this conflict?"

"There is not one person, the people just seemed to cut themselves off from the rest of the kingdom due to differences in values. There is no clear leader to my knowledge."

"Hmm... I think I will bring this no one to reality soon."
