Chapter 35 Caitlin Snow of ‘Coff’ (Rewritten)

After witnessing Caitlin Snow's trembling body calm down, Stephen squatted in front of her and smiled. "That's right, calm down and be quiet for a second. Try not to react dramatically like the protagonist of a melodramatic TV series. It might ruin the beautiful image I have of you, although I'm more interested in the other side of you."

Caitlin Snow looked at him, her body still trembling, her expression showing confusion. "What are you talking about? The other side of me?"

"Don't worry, love, I didn't mean to harm you. Once Cisco Ramon does what I want in half an hour, you can leave. But until then, I hope you can be cooperative for a little while. Can you do that?" Stephen asked softly.

Caitlin Snow nodded.

"Good." Stephen patted Caitlin Snow's head with satisfaction and casually asked, "Hey, I meant to ask this earlier, do you currently have a boyfriend?"

Caitlin Snow shook her head.

"Well, well, don't I see? It's alright, you're better off being single for now. At least for a while," Stephen chuckled lightly.

Caitlin Snow was no longer happy. What makes me more suitable for being single? She angrily asked, "Why?"

Why? It's because of your "Coff" ability.

First, there was Ronnie Raymond, Caitlin Snow's fiancé and a member of the cutting-edge Laboratory. After the accident at the accelerator, he merged with Martin Stein to form Firestorm and ultimately sacrificed himself to save the city.

Then there was Hunter Solomon, the speedster from Earth-Two who ruled Earth II and acted as The Flash. In the end, he was defeated by Barry Allen and also perished. And now, the last one, Julian Albert, the alchemist, didn't die like the others, but he left the city, essentially leaving her.

Caitlin Snow is destined for loneliness in the end, and anyone who comes into her life seems to meet a tragic fate.

Patting Caitlin Snow on the shoulder, Stephen displayed his fearless spirit. "Remember, don't get a boyfriend. But if you ever need one, you can find me anytime. The Buddha said sinners go to hell as soon as they commit a sin. Well, let me tell you, I've had a rough life, and you won't be able to get rid of me so easily!"

What does he mean by finding him if I need a boyfriend?

Who goes to hell if he doesn't?

What makes his life so difficult that I can't kill him?

If I can't beat you, I'll fight you!

Caitlin Snow turned her head, ignoring Stephen. She pouted like an angry baby and, just like a baby, ignored my presence.

However, in her anger and pouting, Caitlin Snow wasn't as scared as before. Though this person was extremely annoying, it seemed he didn't actually intend to harm her. As the fear dissipated, curiosity naturally arose.

While she wasn't as obsessed with superpowers as Cisco Ramon, being a bioengineer made her somewhat curious about how Stephen generated an electric current. If possible, she even wanted to conduct a thorough examination of the data.

"What's your name?" Caitlin Snow tentatively asked.

"Stephen."

"Are you from Asia? Were you born with superpowers, or did they manifest due to some change in your body? Have you ever had your body examined?"

Stephen smiled and asked, "What? Do you want to examine my body?"

Caitlin Snow initially nodded but then shook her head. "Although there isn't confirmed data, your situation appears to be a genetic mutation. If I had the chance to conduct a detailed examination in the laboratory, I might be able to figure out how it happened and why your abilities exceed the normal limits."

Caitlin Snow sighed with regret. In this situation, she had no opportunity to help Stephen examine his body.

"If you can keep it a secret, how about I come to you for a covert examination when I get a chance? But there's a condition. If you can't fulfill it, then I might have to kill you." Caitlin Snow said this, revealing her own curiosity about his bodily structure.

"Really?" Caitlin Snow asked eagerly, her eyes lighting up. "When?"

"Well, that depends on my mood."

"Deal. I won't disclose the results of the examination to anyone. I just want to know why," Caitlin Snow said, fearing Stephen might decline, and quickly gave him her phone number. "You'll need to call me in advance so I can arrange the testing."

"Good."

Stephen took note of the number and nodded.

"Why do you need sonic equipment?" Caitlin Snow suddenly realized. He had superpowers, so he shouldn't require such equipment.

"You'll find out later."

Unbeknownst to them, time flew by during their conversation. Stephen didn't restrain or tie her up, so he went downstairs and returned to the cutting-edge laboratory.

At that moment, the door to the cutting-edge laboratory swung open.

The security guard, who had been stunned earlier, had been taken inside for treatment. Cisco Ramon stood at the door, accompanied by Harrison Wells, holding a box.

When they saw Stephen and Caitlin Snow approaching, engaged in conversation, the two of them were shocked.

What's going on here?

Was Caitlin Snow kidnapped by Stephen? But now, why do they seem to be returning together like friends?

"Caitlin, are you okay?" Cisco Ramon asked worriedly as he saw them approach.

Caitlin Snow glanced at Stephen and shook her head. "I'm fine. He didn't do anything to me."

"That's a relief."

Cisco Ramon handed over the box with a sigh of relief. "This is the item you requested."

Stephen took it and opened the box. Inside was a round device with a dial, small enough to fit on a black metal ring about two fingers wide. Cisco Ramon dutifully began to explain how to use the equipment. "Just touch it with your fingers to activate, and touch again to adjust the power of the sound waves..."
