Chapter 151 Lex Luthor

Chapter 151 Lex Luthor

"If we hand over Superman, will General Zod leave Earth?" Amanda Waller hung up the phone and asked Stephen in a deep voice.

Stephen shook his head. "Impossible. In addition to searching for Superman, Zod also aims to transform Earth into a second Krypton, so Krypton can be reborn here and he can rule it as a king."

"What should we do then?" Carol Ferris asked instinctively.

"Rebirth often starts with destruction," Stephen said softly.

Carol Ferris's expression suddenly turned grim.

Amanda Waller frowned and pressed further. "So, in other words, war is inevitable. Can you defeat them?"

"Yes," Stephen replied with a slight smile.

"That's good," Amanda Waller said with confidence in Stephen's abilities. She believed he wouldn't allow Earth to be destroyed by the Kryptonians. "I need to rush back to discuss countermeasures. Carol will stay here with you. We'll contact you if there are any developments."

"Good," Carol Ferris nodded in agreement.

Amanda Waller turned and left, leaving Carol Ferris feeling a bit uncertain about her role. Stephen turned back to the bed to retrieve his clothes. Though Lois Lane felt a little embarrassed, it wasn't the time for pretense, so she quickly got dressed as well.

"Kryptonite, can it defeat the Kryptonians? Can't you give the military some Kryptonite so they can develop weapons against them?" Lois Lane picked up a piece of green Kryptonite and asked Stephen.

"Kryptonite?" Carol Ferris looked at the stone in Stephen's hand upon hearing this, wondering if it could really combat the Kryptonians. This was a crucial clue. "Mr. Stephen, can this stone truly be effective against the aliens? Can you—"

"No," Stephen interrupted.

"Throughout history, it's been proven that even if we provide Kryptonite to the military, they won't be able to develop weapons against the Kryptonians within 24 hours," Stephen explained. "Furthermore, a few pieces of Kryptonite won't be sufficient. Although I have a substantial amount of it, it won't be enough. Help me get in touch with Lex Luthor; I'll take the Kryptonite to his company in half an hour."

"Lex Luthor?" Carol Ferris was taken aback, but before she could react, Stephen had disappeared in a flash.

She stood there, mouth agape, speechless, just as Lois Lane looked at her, equally astonished by Stephen's peculiar abilities.

...

In Central City, at the villa:

When Stephen returned, he found the villa bustling with activity. A large container truck was parked in the courtyard, and Laurie, Thea, Trajectory, Black Siren, and Betty had returned with a new acquaintance.

"Boss, we've completed the task as you instructed, and we've brought back everything from the Argus Warehouse," Black Siren reported with a grin, gesturing towards the unfamiliar woman. "This is a friend I recently made, and she was a tremendous help."

"Lisa."

"Lisa Snart," the woman introduced herself.

Captain Cold's sister?

Stephen hadn't expected that the friend Black Siren mentioned would be the younger sister of the notorious criminal. Birds of a feather indeed flock together, and in the world of villains, associations were easily formed.

"You all know about the aliens?" Stephen inquired.

Everyone nodded.

"Trajectory, when will the disciple's upgrade be completed?" Stephen turned to Trajectory for an answer.

"Three hours," Trajectory pondered for a moment before replying.

"Okay, be ready to follow my orders at any time after the upgrade and wait for the aliens to invade Earth..." Stephen paused, and Thea curiously asked, "Are we going to fight the aliens?"

Fighting aliens? It sounded like something a hero would do. However, aside from Laurie and Thea, Trajectory, Black Siren, Betty, and even Lisa Snart weren't heroes.

"No," Stephen shook his head with a chuckle. "Your job will be to collect the corpses, specifically the corpses of the Kryptonians."

Lisa Snart asked, intrigued, "What's the use of collecting their corpses?"

"It's useful," Stephen replied with a smirk.

Kryptonian corpses could potentially be turned into deadly weapons, and using them could result in catastrophic consequences for Earth.

After explaining the task, Stephen instructed them to place the Argus collection in their designated storage room. Even though they didn't fully understand the purpose behind it, the once-empty storage room was now filled with mysterious items.

Half an hour later, Stephen arrived at the top office of LexCorp.

...

This was Lex Luthor's office, which had a unique style quite different from what one would expect in the office of a top company president. Lex Luthor was dressed in light-colored slacks, a blue shirt, and a dark knit sweater. He leaned casually against his desk, and his short, sandy blond hair gave him an effortlessly cool look.

Standing beside him was a woman in black professional attire and black-rimmed glasses. She was Lex Luthor's secretary and bodyguard, Mercy Graves.

Seated across from them were Carol Ferris and Lois Lane.

"Half an hour is almost up; it appears someone isn't very punctual," Lex Luthor remarked with a chuckle. "I have a lot on my plate, you know. Taking over a multi-billion-dollar company isn't a small task, so..."

"Why are you not bald?" Stephen's voice suddenly broke in from behind.

Lex Luthor and Mercy Graves turned around instantly, surprised to see Stephen sitting in the office chair without them noticing his entrance.

Lex Luthor paused and said, "This isn't your sit."

"You're going to kick me out?" Stephen tilted his head and chuckled.

Mercy Graves snorted coldly and swiftly launched a high kick towards Stephen with her stiletto heel.

With just a finger, Stephen blocked Mercy Graves' powerful leg whip, then flicked his finger slightly.

Boom!

Mercy Graves was sent flying and crashed heavily onto the floor.

Lex Luthor didn't even glance at his fallen secretary but smiled and said to Stephen, "You could have had the military bring me here forcibly, but since you're seeking my help to create something that can defeat the aliens, including the Kryptonians, I suppose I can entertain your request. So...anything else?"

"A new hairstyle for that hair of yours, perhaps? Ever heard of an saying called Baldness=OP? Bald heads are a sign of strength!" Stephen quipped.
