In a cave a little larger than normal we see how a being rises, an abomination of nature.
The being is 2 m tall with beetle wings,white and affiliated scales,a wolf snout with cougar and wolf teeth its fangs are long and affiliated,it has a panther tail with white scales,it has humanoid arms with long claws that look like metal,along with three hairs coming out along with a long horn from its head.
The creature heads for the entrance of the cave, opening its wings and flapping its hairs in search of a new prey.
It quickly flies off, after what seems like minutes it finds two porcupine-like beings defending themselves against a lion-like feline, the feline must be hungry because it is rare for lions to attack very difficult prey, examples of this is that lions almost never seek to kill a hippopotamus.
The creature then immediately pounces on the lion.

Mc POV:
I watch the new prey analyzing who I should kill first.
The giant porcupine-like animals of 1m are based on defense like their earthly counterparts so it will be very difficult to kill them in that position, on the other hand the lion is alone and will not expect a surprise attack not to say that if I don't kill it in one blow my venom will slow it down'.
I immediately pounced on the lion, the lion concentrated on the porcupines and didn't notice my attack on his back, so it was too late, I hold on to his back digging my claws into his body I bite the lion's neck while he turns around in agony in a futile attempt to get me off his back, I was hitting me hard but I resisted the impacts, little by little the lion's momentum was lost and I saw how it bled and was poisoned, there came a time when it did not move so I relaxed my grip on his body and I took off his back.
Then in front of the porcupines I opened the lion's body with relative difficulty and I saw its interior.
His muscles are not so specialized in agility which is what I want to concentrate on but they are still useful another thing I will take are his vocal cords which are very important for his roar that will allow me to scare my prey.
I remove the muscles of the silver wolves from mine and replace them with the muscles of the lion, then I create a joint between the vocal cords of a lion and a puma, waiting for the pain to arrive I get up from the ground that I was using as a support to dissect the lion.
The pain is intense but I'm getting used to it quickly.
Then I look at the porcupine thinking about how to kill it with its defensive pose.
I can easily kill it by surrounding it but I'd rather take my time, maybe I should throw the lion at it after all no matter how sharp its spines are the weight of the carcass will crush it'.
Thinking about it, I threw the lion at the porcupine, the carcass was easily pierced but its weight crushed the porcupine which began to writhe in pain until it died.
When it died I approached its corpse, its spines were still shrinking, however, they were still erect.
While waiting for its spines to shrink I sat there thinking about whether I will ever see an intelligent species again.
I would like to make contact with a civilization as they must have a record of the different species that exist, I doubt that the species in this forest are the only ones in existence, however my hopes of finding them are dwindling as I have not encountered a single halfway intelligent species'.
The porcupine's spines have stopped standing still and are now relaxed, I get closer to the body and open its interior, the only interesting thing about the porcupine is its spines, nothing else.
The characteristic quills of porcupines take various forms, depending on the species, but in all of them they are modified hairs wrapped in a thick and transparent keratin duct, and they are inserted in the musculature of the skin.
This porcupine had all the same characteristics of the porcupines of my world except that it is larger and its spines are sharper.
I then replicated its spines by creating black prickly hairs around my body and face leaving some space around my three main hairs.
The pain unlike what I thought was very little.
'mmm apparently replicating characteristics will give pain depending on how severe the difference is the replication '
Then I go off to look for more victims but this time to test my strength on the way I find a ghost snake choosing it as a victim I approach it.
'It might cost me to kill it after all even if it has its abilities it is bigger and heavier than me'.
Without using the same strategy I stand in front of the snake while bristling my spines and give a roar that can be heard 20 km away.

The snake confused as to why it is being attacked senselessly hisses at the new combatant,I pounce at the snake as I push my muscles to the limit,when it reached the snake I slash it with my claws in the eyes, the snake takes the blow full on and starts biting everywhere in an attempt to defend itself in its blinded state then I hit it as hard as I can in the body the snake takes the blow but before I can do anything else I die in the arm then it pulls and rips my hand off, annoyed I use my remaining hand and stick it in its wounded eyes penetrating all the way to its brain,crushing it and killing it instantly.
I see the corpse and my hand and get to work eating the corpse to get the nutrients I need to recover.
As I eat I hear a devastating roar in the distance so loud that it paralyzes me for about 3 seconds.
I grab what I can from the corpse and fly away as fast as I can from the creature.
'I don't know what that is but I will definitely die if I face it.'
I look back for the last time promising that the next time I come here I will kill whatever that thing is and get its abilities.
