28. The fear of losing someone...

Kyden kept looking outside the huge glass windows in the king's office. His attention was caught by the gathering of dark clouds in the distant sky despite being in the middle of summer. The gusts of wind are becoming restless and stronger as well, swinging the curtains hanging on each window wildly. But the messy flinging of the fabrics did not even bother the man standing beside them. Kyden caught the king staring in the same direction.

"The sky looks ominous." The king pronounced; his tone concerned about something Kyden could not guess.

He nodded silently at the king's words. Not long after, the pitter-pattering of the heavy rain overwhelmed the deafening silence of the dark room. Only the lamps mounted on the walls of the room lit the surroundings, which automatically flared by themselves.
