CHAPTER 105: Mom?

　　I was in a deep slumber, but my sleep broke all of a sudden when I received a phone call. Usually, it would take a few more phone calls to make me wake up from my sleep, but during the pregnancy, sometimes I would wake up very easily, while sometimes Vexon would make me hear a gunshot so that I would wake up immediately.

　　When I checked the caller ID, it was an unknown number. So I received it.

　　“Hello?” I spoke through the phone.

　　I could hear some rapid breathings on the phone as the person spoke up, “Ruby…”

　　“Kendrik?” I breathed out, after hearing the familiar voice. We could talk once a year to keep them safe from the eyes of the enemies, so it was surprising to get his call. The last we talked was when they gave us the news of Pearl being pregnant. I sat up immediately, realizing the urgency of the situation. “Kendrik, are you okay? Is everything okay? What about Pearl?”
