Chapter 4

Six days later he got the call around noon because Kyle remembered looking at his watch as soon as Joe's cousin, Charles, called and said the woman he was looking for just arrived at the restaurant and sat down.

Kyle pulled in at the restaurant twenty minutes later, only because he tried to remain within the restaurant proximity since Charles  was called in to help him.

Kyle slowly walked inside and saw her eating by herself as she read a book. She looked even more radiant today in a red dress that did everything for her body. Kyle didn't know what he was going to say he just felt like his body needed to go to her. Kyle approached the table and sat on the opposite side.

The restaurant seems to be full to capacity and I'm hungry. Do you mind if we eat together? Kyle said as he sat down and opened his napkin and signaled the waiter for a drink.

Sam's eyes looked up from her book, looked around the restaurant and looked back down at her book without even looking at Kyle. After several seconds, she spoke

Almost seems empty to me! and Sam continued reading.

Kyle was astounded by Sam's beauty and personality. In fact he loved to be challenged and saw this as a pursuit with the best prize ever, a fucking Goddess! Kyle smiled wickedly at her because he knew it was going to be well worth it!

Fine I felt sorry for you! You, sitting all here by yourself, being lonely and pretending to read. I try to do a good deed everyday and I felt the needed to help you today and probably brighten your day!  Kyle said in a serious tone.

Sam began to laugh loudly as soon as Kyle said those words to her. She smiled and lifted her eyes towards Kyle and looked directly at him. She saw when his grin faded away and was instantaneously replaced with want!

Who says I didn't wanted it that way Kyle? Sam said with a raised eyebrows. He blinked then gave his best drop your panty kind of smile on realizing  she remembered his name .

Seems I made an impact on you for you to remember my name! Please, please tell me your name? Kyle said in almost begging tone.

Sam looked at Kyle for several minutes and then dropped her head and continued reading.

My name is Sam, she replied as she continued to look him in the eye.

Just Sam? So your full name is Sam Sam. Kyle replied and chuckled just before the waiter arrived with their food.

What do you want Kyle? Lemme guess! Do you want to get to know me and then pretend to be someone you're not for several months and then do some dumb shit that would make us regret we ever met? Or is it that you're just here to annoy the living daylight out of me on this beautiful Summer day? Sam said as she continued to look at Kyle.

She looked up and could see that his mind was on overdrive as he thought about the perfect answer to give to her.  Sam dropped her head back down and began to eat her lunch.

Kyle's mind raced as he had to provide the perfect answer to get this woman's attention since their meeting seemed to be going terribly on his behalf. Sam was captivating and at that very moment, he knew he'd have given his soul to have one day with her so his response would have to be convincing. He got out a pen and opened a napkin and began scribbling on it.

Sam saw when Kyle began writing on the napkin. And it peaked her interest a little.

Okay, there you go! Sam can you read it please? Kyle said as he pushed the napkin towards Sam.

Several seconds later, Sam raised her head to look at Kyle and then she took up the napkin and began to read what he had written.

I, Kyle Stephens, promise to give Sam ten thousand dollars if I do some dumb shit within the next three months to make her regret ever meeting me.

...…

Kyle wrote that note knowing fully well he was about to get engaged to Sarah but convinced himself that should he be successful, Sam would profit financially from their summer fling so it was a win win situation for both of them.

The note continued,

I, Sam promise to have lunch or dinner with Kyle for ten times within a period of three months and if he doesn't do any dumb shit, only then do I promise to give him a chance with my heart.

...….
