She said "Yes"

Sitting on the bed as the morning sun shined brightly on her face through the glass window . Lisa thought about Frederick's prom date proposal?

"Should I say yes?" She said to herself as she layed on her bed.

The sound of the alarm disrupts her thoughts as she quickly prepares for school. The door bell rings and she knows it will be none other than frederick.

Mr Greg goes to see who's at the door and realizes it was Frederick.

"Good day sir" Frederick said with a smile as he noticed Lisa coming downstairs from the door.

"How are you doing my boy" Mr Greg replied.

"I'm fine sir" Frederick says shyly.

"Oh here she comes, my princess" Mr Greg says as Lisa walks close to hug him.

"Have you called the driver?" He asked

"Oh yes daddy, he's already outside waiting she replied.

"That's okay, you both should run along"

Mr Greg says as he waves them and shuts the door.

"Ain't you going to greet me? Frederick says jokingly with a smirk on his face.

"Get lost, you jerk" Lisa responded.

They both get into the car as usual with Lisa admiring the beautiful view of the different malls and shopping centers.

"So?...can I get my answer now? Frederick stammered with fear of what her answer would be.

"Oh my!!!" She exclaimed.

"Are you okay? He asked

"Yes I'm just nervous"

"Come on Lisa, I'm your best friend. You should always feel free with me" Frederick said in a surprised tone.

"I know that so yes I'll be your prom to the dance" Lisa responded as he hugged her in excitement.

"Oh sorry, for the hug" Frederick startled as he noticed her shy response to the hug.

"It's fine jerk" she said laughing loudly.

They both laughed at each other's reaction just as the car stopped over at the entrance of the school.

"We'll see after classes at the cafeteria okay?" He said as they both walked in with their hands together.

"Alright, see you later" she responded as they part ways.

Betty noticed them holding hands from the school's laboratory where she was having a practical and promised to find out why they were both so happy and even holding hands.

As the bell rings for lunch break, Betty didn't hesitate to hurry up to the cafeteria. She even ordered for sparkling water with ice and a pack of chips which was Lisa's favorite snack. Betty was so anxious to find out what had happened between them.

Few minutes later, Lisa walked into the cafeteria with her face looking like someone who just fell in love.

"And why are you smiling like someone who just won a lottery?" Betty asked.

"Argh, you ask too many questions my friend" Lisa responded

"Hmm are you hiding anything from me, huh?" Betty reprimanded.

"Why would I or do you think I'm hiding anything from you" Lisa said as she picks up the pack of chips in the table.

"Who's taking you to prom?" Betty asked with a rather suspicious countenance.

"uhmm.....it's Frederick but trust me I had no other choice but him".

"I knew it, no wonder you were all happytoday even holding hands with him" Betty slammed.

"So you've been nosing around right, what are you insinuating?" Lisa sneered

"Why are you acting up, it's not like I said anything bad".

"Look don't get this all wrong, we're are all best friends remember?" Lisa responded nervously.

"Besides it's just for prom night. There's nothing wrong with two best friends going to prom together" she continued.

"No matter how you try to pretend about it, I know for a fact that you have feelings for him but you just keep denying it" Betty says.

Their conversation lasted for thirty minutes until the end of the break but Betty couldn't make Lisa confess about her feelings for Fredrick meanwhile prom was in two days.

Lisa refused frederick from coming to the house till prom night cause she was

nervous each time they were together.

Betty felt bad about the whole frederick discussion with Lisa but she didn't want her friend to get hurt. She only wanted her to be with the right person, besides they are best friends how would it feel like to be in love with someone you have known for years as your "best friend".

"Ewwww, I can't even imagine both of them kissing or having dates" Betty soliloquized.

Later that evening Lisa's Dad gave her a surprise. He was fully aware of the upcoming prom and also the fact that this was his lovely daughter's first prom and so he wanted to make it special for his beautiful princess.

He contracted the finest designer in Venice "Mr Baylor swift" to make an exquisite dress for Lisa.

But wanted it to be a surprise. He saw this as an opportunity to shower her with love since he's barely around this days.

"Honey, what do you think of idea ofMrs Gina added as she clears the table.

Lisa becomes uncomfortable as she hears Frederick's name but she tries to pretend.

"Okay mum. I'll be fine" she replies.

After dinner they all watched a comic movie with lots of laughs as they all seem to notice the family bond being rekindled.

After a thrilling family night, Lisa retires to her room to study.

"Good night mum and Dad" she says as she goes upstairs.

"Sleep well our princess" her parents replies as they both watch her go up to her room.

Lisa picks up her diary as she writes about how her day went. Her diary is like her second partner especially when she's alone in her room.

Just as she finished writing, she recalls her conversation with Betty and everything they talked about.

She asks herself so many rhetorical questions as she lays down to sleep.Standing on the balcony of the room with his eyes gazed on the stars Fredrick soliloquises.

"I don't understand my feelings anymore, could I be falling in love with Lisa?"

"But is this even possible cause I can't help but think about it" he continued to asks so many questions like a confused being.

"Does she feel the same? or should I tell her how I feel....

He begins to ask himself questions that only Lisa could answer but how would he tell her. " Maybe during prom?cause I can't hide this feelings any longer". He hesitates to tell her during prom night. It seems this prom would be an unforgettable experience for both characters.

The next morning, Mr Greg gets a call from his colleague that he has a case of murder which he knows would interest him.

"A murder case you say?" Mr Greg jolted over the phone

"Yes, the criminal murdered my sister in cold blood and I want you to make sure justice is served"

"This is outrageous, you know I don't joke with such Cases Mr Ben. I will make sure he's put in jail for a long time. I can assure you that" He replies in anger.

"I trust you my good friend, let's meet up later to discuss more about the case". Mr Ben says over the phone.

Mr Ben Clark has being friends with Lisa's Dad for a long time. They both attended the same college but had been acquaintances even before then. Mr Ben is a great business man with lots of repute but he's love for power and wealth made him have many strong enemies that would do anything to bring him down
