He has to know....

"So my princess is now a big girl" he said as he flips the pages of the newspaper to read.

"Daaaad! Finally now you know I'm no longer a child" she chuckles.

"You're still my little princess till you get married" he replies hilariously as he sips from the glass of wine on the table.

"No Dad! I won't allow you call me that when I start college" she flutter with a smile.

"You this little girl" he replies in a comic tone.

"Daaad!" She exclaims.

Lisa's dad never fails to make sure he's daughter is save cause he wouldn't want to fall into the wrong hands meanwhile Lisa hasn't told him about her new relationship.

She's scared to tell him because she knows who he father is. He's a strict kind especially when it comes to young teenager's relationship.

Mr Greg wasn't the type of father that would allow his only child to mingle with her male counterparts especially when they were both immature as he thinks of it.

The thought of her telling him she's in love with her best friend gives her goose bumps each time she thinks about it.

"How would I tell him?" Lisa ponders as writes on her computer.

"Maybe I'll tell him when I resume college but what if he finds out?"

"No....that would be worse. He has to know but how?" She continues to ask rhetorically.

Her phone rings and she quickly reaches for it on the table.

"Oh it's Emily" she whispers as she picks the call.

"Hey girl, how have you been? Emily asked through the phone.

"Wow...it's been a long time since graduation girl" like Lisa responds as she lies down flat with her head facing the laptop on the bed.

"Oh yes. I'm sorry for not asking after you...I've just been giving admission to study in Malibu"

"Are you serious? Congratulations girl...I'm happy for you"

"Thanks girl... how's your mum..., dad and Frederick?" Emily asked as she pays attention to the phone so she wouldn't miss hearing Lisa's reply.

"Oh everyone is fine"

"Are you sure??...even Frederick?" She asked in a rather suspicious manner.

"Huh?....of course he's doing very well and we are both okay" Lisa responds curtly as she noticed Emily's tone.

"Oh...oookay. That's good to know that you both are still together" She said nervously as though she didn't get the answer she expected.

"Alright then....do enjoy your stay in Malibu. Bye Emily" Lisa said as she hangs up the call in dismay.

"What nonsense....poking in other people's affairs...hmmm...Emily will never change" Lisa jolted as she drops the phone and continues her writing.

She was actually writing a letter to Frederick through her e-mail to tell him about her decision to finally tell he dad about them.

Lisa was scared of her dad's judgment after she tells him about Frederick with her former best friend.

She doesn't want anything that would jeopardize her relationship and so must find a suitable was to tell him.

Mrs Gina encouraged her daughter to let her dad know but must be when he's in a very good mood.

"I'm sure he will see reasons with you besides Frederick is not a stranger to tho family" Mrs Gina said frankly.

"You know your dad loves you and he'd always want to see you happy" she continues.

"I know mum but what if he doesn't consent to us being together?" Lisa laments.

"But you have no other choice, my dear" she replies.

"Mum! I don't want to loose Frederick" she said in a sad tone.

"I know how much you both love each other but you have to take the bull by the horn" Mrs Gina beckons as she encourages her.

"Have you spoken to Frederick about this? She asked.

"He's suggesting we both tell him together during dinner tonight but.....

Mrs Gina cuts in

"Don't worry my dear, everything will be okay.

Lisa grew nervous when Frederick came home to have diner with them with the opportunity to discuss with her dad.

The table were set with beautiful glass sets made with expensive ware.

Well prepared dishes were arranged on the golden table as dinner was set.

"Oh! My boy is here to have dinner with us" Mr Greg said curtly as he sits in anticipation for the meal.

"It's my pleasure sir" Frederick replies nervously.

"Honey please say us a prayer" Mrs Gina asked.

The prayers were made as they all began to eat the sumptuous meal.

"Dad I have sorry we have something to tell you..." Lisa said nervously in a shaky voice.

"Hmm....we?....you and who?" He asked curiously.

"I....I.....mean.....toooo"

"You can't speak anymore or the cat's got your tongue?? He responds furiously.

Mrs Gina quickly touches Lisa's hands in encouragement for her to speak while Fredrick stares at her.

"Why is everyone acting strange?" Mr Greg asked I curiosity as he drops his cutlery in a shabby manner.

Lisa takes a deep breath and speaks after a brief silence.

"Dad...I....and Fredrick are in love with each other and we're already a couple.....I...I'mmm sorry you have to find out this way" she said in a hurry as she gasps for air while Fredrick offers her water to calm her down.

Mr Gina remains silent for a while as he tries to believe what he just heard.

Frederick decides to speak

"Sir...I really do love Lisa, its been a long time now but I couldn't hide my feelings any more so please allow us be together....please!" he said with his hand together with hers.

Mrs Gina also begged him to accept their relationship

"So you know about this?" He yelled after she pleaded.

"Please my dear, I've seen this two together and trust me they both love each other" Mrs Gina pleaded as she holds his hands softly.

"So young man, you love my daughter right"

"Yessss...sir I really do"he responds nervously.

"Lisa I raised you with love but ain't you too young for this relationship life? He asked in animosity.

"Dad! I'm 18 now....I'm old enough to know what's good or bad. Please!! She Pleaded.

"Make sure you never hurt my princess for any reason or I'll deal with you ruthlessly...have I made my self clear?" Mr Greg jolted as he wipes her tears.

"I give you my word sir....I'll take good care of her with my life" Frederick promised as he gave them his consent.

"Thank you dad , I love you"

"Anything to make my princess happy" he replies as they both hug tightly.
