Do You Know Tony Stark

Chapter 84 Do You Know Tony Stark?

"Who are you?"

Looking at Bruce Banner, who crossed his arms in front of his hairy chest like a wronged little girl, Fanny felt like his eyes had been seared with glowing hot metal.

The equally bare-chested Hulk was a muscular and ferocious beast, but Banner simply gave the impression of a wretched and perverted uncle. It was unfortunate that Fanny couldn't give Banner any clothes. He could only reply faintly, "Hulk's friend."

Banner's expression darkened when he heard Hulk's name from Fanny's mouth. He looked at Fanny's form, wrapped in 'Demon Armor Incursio,' and finally recalled a vague memory about some news he had accidentally seen after returning to New York.

"You are that... something... Knight!"

"…"

Fanny's mood dropped to a frozen temperature. It would've been fine if Banner had remembered the Silver or Divine Punishment part of his nickname, but he had recalled the 'Knight' part instead. Even though he had called himself a Mage when introducing himself to Hulk!

"Do you remember what happened?" Fanny finally asked Banner. He didn't have time to care about his nickname; he wondered if Banner remembered what Hulk had done.

Banner held his head with his hands, trying to dig into his memories, but ultimately shook his head. "I can't remember. What did that guy do?"

"His name is Hulk," Fanny corrected, frowning.

What Fanny said seemed to touch Banner's sore spot. He shouted at Fanny, "He is a monster! A monster that destroyed my life!"

"You also ruined his life!" Fanny accused, his eyes staring at Banner's. Hulk and Banner shared the same body, but the times that Hulk was allowed to take control could be counted on one hand, and all of them were accompanied by danger.

Banner stood up, unwilling to argue with Fanny anymore. He said with a low voice, "I don't know who you are, but I have to go. Goodbye."

Fanny casually set an 'Explosion Magic' to clean up the scattered fried chicken pieces on the ground and followed the leaving Banner. "Where do you plan to go?"

"I think that was none of your business."

Banner was suspicious of Fanny. This person in weird attire had become friends with a monster that could tank an artillery shot with its bare hands. There's no way that Fanny was a normal person. Banner just wanted to remove Hulk from his body and return to a peaceful life; he didn't want to have any more contact with Fanny.

"But the Hulk in your body was my business."

Fanny approached and befriended Hulk because of his straightforward personality. Fanny didn't have to worry about anything while talking with Hulk. The other reason, of course, was his strength.

Fanny was not willing to give up on this super experience dummy who could tie five Mordo into a knot.

Moreover, in the original plot, Hulk had been able to lead a peaceful life during his exile to the planet Sakaar. Therefore, Fanny felt that it might be better to let Hulk out full-time.

But he had no idea about how gamma rays work. In the worst case, he might destroy both Hulk's and Banner's bodies.

Banner stopped and turned at Fanny. "Listen. I don't care who you are. Please don't follow me. I won't let that monster come out again."

"You can't do it." Fanny shook his head. "Let me guess, you've found someone that said they knew how to cure you?"

Banner did not say a word. He just hugged his body and looked at Fanny vigilantly.

"You probably also did some experiments. Maybe even made some progress. That's why you confidently said that, right?" Fanny continued to approach Banner. "You took the risk and came to New York to find that person, right? Bruce Banner, or should I call you Mr. Green?!"

"Who are you?" Banner took a few steps back in fear. His instinct told him that Fanny couldn't be Mr. Blue whom he had contacted.

"Do you believe in fate? Doctor Banner!" Fanny slowly floated into the air. His cloak fluttered in the wind. His silver armor flashed under the sunlight. Banner felt chill from Fanny's words, even in the middle of the scorching weather.

Banner finally recalled the news that he saw, reporting that Fanny was some sort of a messenger of God, a prophet that had descended to the world. He remembered scoffing at the report.

But now, he even started to doubt his dismissal—although someone with seven doctorate degrees like him obviously wouldn't change his opinion so easily.

"What is it exactly that you're saying?" Banner asked, trying to calm himself down. After years of study, he had managed not only to suppress his anger but also to better analyze the unknown situation.

"I hope to save Hulk and you," Fanny said arrogantly. He wanted to take control of this Banner situation first. With Ross' life hanging on a thread, the army shouldn't have any time to pursue them anyway.

"Ha!" Banner sneered at Fanny. "Do you also want to capture and dissect me like those people?"

"It's not like what you think. If I really want to catch you, you won't be able to escape anyway."

Fanny wasn't bluffing. He had befriended Hulk and only needed the 'Sumire Karaage Rolls' to make the green giant do his bidding. And Banner's tiny body wasn't even worth mentioning—he could handle ten of the scrawny middle-aged man without breaking a sweat.

"Then tell me how you want to save us!" Banner asked after taking a deep breath.

While being on the run for years, he had little time to pay attention to the news. He had little knowledge of Fanny before returning to New York to meet Betty recently, and even then, he only discovered him by accident.

"You were born together. Maybe one day you can become one or separate from each other."

Fanny looked at Banner's eyes. Banner had dedicated all his effort to eliminating Hulk, not expelling or ejecting him. Of course, Banner had thought of it, but he had never attempted to do it.

But Fanny recalled that Banner would find a way to merge with the Hulk. He felt that there might be another way to split them completely.

"What method do you have?" Banner asked excitedly. He was prepared to pay any price for getting rid of Hulk. He already had nothing to lose—he had even tried suicide, after all.

"I might be able to merge the two of you, but separating you would probably take some thinking."

Fanny vaguely recalled that in the original plot, after Thanos did his 'Snap,' Banner spent a few months under the gamma-ray to complete the fusion with Hulk.

Of course, the current Banner would not choose to fuse with Hulk. He was yet to join the Avengers, visit alien planets, or experience various scars and traumas. He still held the hope that he could become a normal person that lives a normal life.

"Then what do you want me to do?" Banner asked again. He was still skeptical of Fanny, but he couldn't get rid of the mage anyway. And he was rather desperate; he would seize any glimmer of hope in his sight.

Fanny was stumped. It's not like he could bring Hulk to Kamar-Taj; it wasn't a place where non-mage could stay for long. Even mages couldn't all stay in the holy land.

Bringing Banner home would be even more impossible. Hulk probably wouldn't hurt him, but he couldn't protect others.

Hulk's mind was obviously unstable. It would be dangerous if his anger suddenly erupted while he was hiding in Fanny's home.

Moreover, Banner was a criminal wanted by the military. Keeping Banner in his home would be akin to inviting the military to rip out any semblance of secrecy from his identity.

After thinking for a long time, Fanny finally asked,

"Do you know Tony Stark?"
