Victor and I parted ways when we got back to the pack. Our hands lingered together as we slowly went in separate directions. 


I didn’t want to leave him, especially with the looming danger, but he had to meet with his father, and I belonged with the other Luna Guardians. When his hand left mine, I felt cold. I kept glancing over my shoulder as we walked in opposite directions. 


Several times, I caught Victor looking back at me, too. Our eyes would meet for a second and then we kept going. 


Finally, I had to go down another hallway and we lost sight of each other completely. 


Emerald, Rose, Sima, and the others were gathered together. I wasn’t sure how many people knew there was potential danger. Other than Emerald, Sima, Rose, and me, did the others know? If they didn’t it wouldn’t be worth getting them panicked. 


“How are you feeling, dear?” Emerald asked me, touching my shoulder.
