Chapter 58: Rising Tensions

Tara’s POV

I didn’t even understand how we had gotten here. I had thought that we had moved past all of this outlander crap but clearly we hadn’t.

But I understood their concerns. They wanted answers. They didn’t want to risk more lives with the trials. They wanted this whole fiasco to be over. But unfortunately we couldn’t do that. We had to press on with the trials. It was not ideal but this was the only way that we could make everything right again.

For the most part I had healed from the attack but my head would at times ache but it was nothing that I couldn’t handle.

Victor was fuming. He was out for blood. He had almost killed the guy who was involved in my attack. Thank the goddess that he hadn’t. Otherwise we would have had a very serious problem on our hands.

I didn’t want to get out of the car today. The students milled around while Victor and I stayed in the car.

His fingers threaded through mine and he brought my attention back to him.
