Chapter 82: Talia

Tara’s POV

A whimsical voice sounded from out behind us, causing both me and Tanner to turn around. The slight look of bother that I saw briefly on Tanner’s face, however, as I looked at him for a moment, told me that he already knew who it was that had come up to us.

When I turned to see the wide, open grin of his sister staring at us, I knew why immediately. Talia stood there with her hands on her hips, and an expression on her face as though she were a cat that had eaten all the cream.

“You know this is part of my route,” Tanner finally replied as he stabbed the dirt with the shovel, forgetting all about it now.

“I did. I know everything, but I never actually see you here, which is the funny thing.”

“Probably because I tend to try and avoid you, given your issues,” Tanner retorted.
