Chapter 181: A Dream Long Forgotten

Tara’s POV

I reached down to touch the thrumming part of the moon, and the beams seemed to reach out to me, too. Its light wrapped around my hand like tendrils, and I called out to it from some part inside of me.

Was this something inherently wolfish about me? What was happening, and what had made the moon fall like this?

And suddenly, as though my own mind was coming back to me, I remembered something vicious and daunting. There was a dream I had once, about the cracks in the moon, and Victor floating toward me.

He had let out such an earth shattering scream, and there was something… something else. There was something else that I was missing and I couldn’t remember it at all.

But what was it?

Then, there was a harsh tug on my arm and I lurched forward. That’s when the pain came.
