Chapter 180: Breaking More Than the Moon

Tara’s POV

There was blood everywhere. This time, it wasn’t mine.

My vision was clouded by red and black dots—something like a kindling made, fire-made, golden laced imagest took over and the bright white moon shun over our heads.

The sun had set by the time Alexandria grew tired from the fight. I could see it now in the sluggish movements she made, in the stupid mistakes she fumbled over. Her eyes were heavy and her breathing matched it, much the same.

But I wasn’t done, and no one was going to interfere between us, that much I knew. It was in the same way they didn’t intervene when Sidus had ripped Briar Bane’s throat out. No one had interfered then because there were laws, rules, that they all followed. And those lines would be their downfall.
