Gossips Inside Timothy’s Apartment (Part 3)

"Do you think someone is helping Leonid? Someone…capable and influential? Because with Tim, it was impossible for Leonid to get away. But it looks like he was giving Tim a hard time," Mason was not doubting Timothy's skills but he still earned a glare from the man.

"I will have him in the underground facility in the next two weeks," Timothy suddenly said, which made everyone look at him. And by the tone of his voice, they were certain that he meant it.

They will have Leonid in the underground facility in two weeks. But what surprised them is Timothy's statement. Because at first, they only plan to watch over Leonid's activities and not drag him into the underground facility since he was not on their target list.

Their only targets were criminals who abuse women and children. And as far as they know, Leonid…Jove Latimer's stepbrother was just a small-time illegal drug smuggler even though he was starting to make it into the international market. Though he was the largest supplier of opioids in the black market, there were still bigger groups who were supplying not just opioids but other illegal drugs in the black market.

Until Mason seems to remember what Megan said earlier. He straightened his back and leaned forward. "Wait. You said Wyatt Ho plans to sell the girl to Leonid. Does he also run a human trafficking ring?" He asked Megan who had a grim expression on her face.

"That's the thing. When he asked Wyatt Ho to ID Leonid…he didn't recognize Leonid's photo that we showed him. Instead, he describes him the way he remembers and this is what came up," Megan turned her chair to face the computers and typed something until the face of another unfamiliar man showed on the screen.

This time, the man looked to be in his early fifty to late forty. His hair is short and clean but with streaks of silver hair. He has a permanent scowl on his face but unlike the first photo that was on the screen earlier, this man is clean-shaven. The photo looked like it was taken for a government ID.

"That's…that's a different man," Mason said. He was now standing and hovering behind Megan.

Daxon, who had already stood up to see the photo closer, asked Megan, "Are you sure he is not playing you around?" He was talking about Wyatt Ho. Because there is a possibility that he just gave them a random name that came to his head. And since Leonid seemed to have vanished, he was a good candidate.

Megan looked up to her left where Daxon is and said, "We put him under a lie detector test and it turns out, he was telling the truth,"

The atmosphere suddenly became thick. Because it looks like there is another Leonid that exists and this time, this Leonid runs a human trafficking ring. They wondered how many Leonids were out there and who was the real Leonid.

"Fuck," Mason cursed, and then he walked back to his seat.

"Yeah, fuck," Daxon did the same.

Now they have two Leonids on their target list and it looks like the second Leonid deserves to be in the underground facility if he was running a human trafficking ring and buying girls who are minors.

They could only imagine what he does to those girls.

Nic looked at Megan and Timothy and said, "We are taking on this, right?" He was talking about finding the two Leonids and finding out why there are two of them. Because it looks like there is more to it that they need to uncover.

And they will definitely enjoy uncovering it.

Megan smirked and said, "Definitely," When they all came, it was actually what Megan was working on.

After she learned about Leonid, thanks to Olivia, she told about him her chief saying that she got a tip about a small illegal drugs smuggling ring led by a man named Leonid. And since then, she was assigned to work on that case.

The sudden appearance of Wyatt Ho made the case much more interesting and challenging to Megan because of the sudden occurrence of another man named Leonid. Now she was more focused on the case than ever.

"I'm going to make my own investigation," Timothy said, earning him a glare from Megan.

Though Timothy's focus was on the screen of computer, he could feel Megan's glare. He slowly turned his head to his side and that's when he realized that he said the wrong word. So he corrected his sentence before he could find himself sleeping in the bed alone. "I mean, we," When he saw the satisfied look on Megan's face he looked at the three men behind them and said, "I'll keep you posted," Then he went back to his work.

Nic, Mason, and Daxon looked at each other before they looked back at the couple working on the computers as if it was the only thing that matters to them.

"Tim, aren't you busy preparing for your wedding? It will be next month, right?" Nic reminded Timothy because it seems that the couple forgot that they were about to get married the next month.

If it was another couple, they would have been panicking already about the wedding preparation and the things that should be done by now and haven't been done. They should be busy, fitting gowns and suits, sending invitations, picking up flowers for the decorations, testing the food to be served at the reception, and whatnot.

But it was Timothy and Megan…they looked indifferent about their own wedding. Not that they do not care about their wedding…they just don't care about the ceremony. Because if it was them, they would have been already married by now without much of a hassle.

"How about you focus on finding Leonid and then we will investigate the other Leonid?" Nic suggested.

Timothy stared at Nic while Megan was narrowing her eyes at him because she was obviously doing the second.

But then, Timothy surprised them when he said, "Okay,"
