153. Diamonds

"This is called Ultra Spin," she said, as she growls as silver spinning energy revolves around her body.

She then points her fingers as a silver beam with spinning balls orbiting around the beam at full speed destroys one of the moons.

"The blast you saw there is Ultra Spin. It is an explosive blast of Hamon from your body," said Black Pearl. "Ultra Spin relies on pure, raw, emotion. Emotion is power in this case. Hamon's version of Ultra Spin is for the ultimate defense and relies on ignoring one's emotions. This is the ultimate offense and relies on building up one's emotions.Anger, sadness, happiness, calmness... All these emotions in one temple... Your mind. You turn that emotion into energy made to destroy. That's the easy part.The hard part is controlling where it goes."

Black Pearl turns to the four.

Black Pearl offers each of them a Steel Ball of some sort, but they are silver.

"These are Stray Balls," said Black Pearl. "They fail in comparison to the damage an Ultra Spin attack could do, but they are still greatly deadly."

Black Pearl offers them a Stray Ball each. They each see a button on their balls.

"Press that, and you'll experience hell," said Black Pearl. "Learn to curve the bullets in accordance to your will using regular Spin. This takes massive amounts of stamina to control."

"Sounds easy enough!" yelled Kapitan Dirigma. "I, Do'Bumsha Do'Kalak, shall conquer this Stray Ball!!!"

"Remember... They are at full-speed and they don't stop moving until they hit something." Black Pearl squinted her eyes in intimidation.

"I'm kinda... scared?" asked Steven.

"Good! That sure is an emotion where we could start," said Black Pearl. "Also, those things can shatter Gems. I don't, but I can."

Steven trembles in fear.

"Oh, don't be a sissy, Steven Lightyear!" yelled Do'Bumsha.

"It's... Universe," said Steven.

"I shall rule supreme in the 4th World with this newfound power!" he cackled.

"Um... Excuse me, but can he please be excluded from your class?" asked Lei.

"On what grounds?" asked Black Pearl.

"He's... evil?" asked Lei.

"All I see is a broken boy who lost his mummy and daddy," she said.

"Thanks," said Do'Bumsha. "Wait... Hey!"

"Tah-tah!" smiled Black Pearl, walking away. "Do go on with it!"

The four scream and imbue their spheres with Spin energies.

"On three!" yelled Lei. "One-!"

*boop*

Kapitan Dirigma's sphere is launched into the air and randomly moves around, spinning and twirling in the air as Kapitan Dirigma's energy is almost completely drained.

"AHAHAHAHAHA!!!" insanely laughed Kapitan Dirigma. "BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! MAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! AHAHAHA!!! FLY, BALL!!! FLY!!! I WISH ROCK NUMBER 53 WERE HERE TO SEE THIS!!! THE HYPOTHETICAL LOOK ON HIS FACE!!! AHAHA-!!!"

The ball hits Steven, but he blocks it with his shield. It moves toward Lei, but Lord tanks it with his chest as he coughs blood. It bounces back into Kapitan Dirigma's face.

*CLANK*

*CRACK*

*SPLAT*

His forehead is fractured as blood gushes out of his eardrums.

"OH MY GOSH!!!" yelled Steven.

"Oh, dear God," said Lei.

Lord screams in a high-pitched voice. "UWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHA!!! OH MY GAHD!!!"

Later...

Crazy Diamond heals up Kapitan Dirigma.

He gasps for breath.

"Oh... Dear God," he trembled in horror. "I had the weirdest dream... I was defeated by a hybrid."

"That was season 1, Bumi," laughed Lord.

"Ah... right," said Do'Bumsha, standing up.

Later...

"Hey, Steven?" asked Lord. "Where'd you come from?"

"I'm a human. Just like you," said Steven.

The pair are throwing the Stray Ball and pulling it back into their palms over and over. They switch hands every throw.

"Yeah, but people keep calling you a Diamond," said Lord.

"Well..." said Steven. "...I had a magical destiny to bring peace to a largely fascist alien empire ruled by my Grandmother and Aunts from my mother's side."

"Diamonds, right?" asked Lord.

"Yep," said Steven.

Lord stared at Steven.

"What?" asked Steven.

"Did you win?" asked Lord.

"I kinda had the Diamonds redeemed," said Steven. "They're trying to fix their mistakes, at least."

"Then?" asked Lord.

"Then... Spazura came to our world. Shattered White Diamond. Killed my dad," said Steven, as his eyes quivered.

"Your dad?" asked Lord. "How did he die?"

Steven remembers something...

"Hmhmhmhm..." cackled Spazura, as Steven tries to rise up from the sand. "You don't have to be the bad guy..."

Spazura turns to Steven as his third eye pops out of his forehead with a disgusting slimy sound.

"I made a deal with him," said Greg. "If we don't attack him, he'll let everyone in our Universe live."

"Dad..." said Steven, with teary eyes.

"It's gonna be okay!" yelled Greg.

"Tell me," said Spazura. "Who is it that killed Pink Diamond?"

Steven's eyes widen.

"I'm-!" Steven yelled.

"I did," said Greg.

*SNAP*

Steven watched in horror as Spazura dropped Greg's body on the ground. He shows his fangs, sneering at the young man.

"Monster..." he whispered. "MONSTER!!!"

He turns pink and charges.

"Silence, hybrid Rose Quartz," said Spazura, as he grabbed Steven by the neck with his telekinesis.

"Lest you wish to destroy your home Universe," said Spazura.

Steven's hands trembled in rage.

Now...

"We made a deal. The deal was that I find the last Fortisite," said Steven. "I don't think he was talking about you. I think he was talking about Kapitan Dirigma. He gave me a Fortisite tracker which led me to you."

"Sheesh... This Spazura guy is-..." said Lord.

The ball lands on Steven's hand as he clenched it tight.

"I used to think that everyone deserves a chance to become better... but now..." said Steven, as he clenched the Stray Ball in his hand.

"How'd... your mom die?" asked Lord.

"It's... complicated," said Steven.

"I'm sorry," said Lord.

"For what?" asked Steven, as he continued throwing the ball.

"Just... sorry..." Lord shook his head.

"I heard your mom died, too," said Steven.

"Yeah... Cancer," said Lord. "I think. The doctors weren't really sure about what happened to her."

"What if it wasn't cancer?" asked Steven.

Lord shrugs.

A short moment of silence occurred.

"Your dad?" asked Steven.

"You could say that my relationship with him is also... complicated," said Lord, whose expression hardens. "Lost a brother because of him."

"Your Dad's one of the bad guys?"

"If a bad guy is someone whose very existence ruins my friendship with someone, yeah."

Steven grabs his Stray Ball and puts it on the ground.

Steven takes two cups and pours some alcohol in them.

Lord grabs his Stray Ball and places it on the ground.

"What's all this?" asked Lord. "It's 11:30 AM... I think..."

"Pouring one out for you," smiled Steven.

Steven and Lord raise their cups.

"To avenging our parents," smiled Steven. "No matter how complicated our lives are."

They cheered and drank.

Meanwhile...

Star draws Marco's face in the sand on the ground with a stick as she leaned her face on her palm. Rick, meanwhile, works on several equations with chalk outside the chamber.

"Who the hell's Marco?" asked Zed.

"Oh!" smiled Star. "He was my boyfriend."

"How'd he die?" asked Zed. "Oh, right! He fell off a cliff and you didn't check."

Star's eyes quivered.

"Hey, hey! I was just joking!" laughed Zed.

"Are you!?" asked Star. "The moment we met you've been blasting jokes in poor taste like there's no tomorrow!"

Zed laughs. "Poor taste. What do you mean?"

"Marco said it's when you stereotype people," said Star.

"Laughing at people is not stereotyping," said Zed. "Calling a Jew-..."

"Stop!" yelled Star.

"Okay! Geez!" yelled Zed, sitting back down and raising his palms.

He drops his palms on his lap.

"I was gonna say something about black people after, but then-..."

"Jesus Christ, Zed," said Rick.

"Sorry," said Zed.

"Why are you like this? Did you get hit in the head with a shovel or something?" asked Star. "Trauma in the war?"

Zed laughs. "When I was a kid it was just me and my dad. He was kinda... strict? My mom left us when I was young. Female Hexes are quite known to be asocial, and tend to leave their children to their spouses if their child is a male."

"Wait..." said Star. "You're supposed to be female?"

"All Hexes are supposed to be female," said Zed, as he sat and grabbed his knees close to his chest. "It's just a genetic mutation that made me male. My mom... left when I was a kid. And I hated her for it. She never came back. My dad soon discovered what I was and had me adopted by someone who managed to be a Hex. He was rich. Clement Calamansi. Rich dude in Burnham City."

"Wait... Your name's not John Calamansi?" she asked.

"It's Zed Speedwagon," said Zed.

"Oh," said Star. "That's why they call you 'Zed'."

"It's a name only my friends call me," said Zed.

"Am I your friend?" she asked, smiling.

Zed shrugged. "Sure," he sighed. "What's going on with your life?"

"I... was a Princess of magical fairyland. Turns out I'm not a Princess, and my ancestor was a false daughter who practically stole the throne. Turns out my family and friends were liars and scum... I learned that the monsters I was fighting were natives and we were the real monsters... stealing resources from their land and casting them out... But I was happy. "Spazura," said Zed.

"He killed Marco," she said. "I heard his bones break in the rocks."

"So... what are you going to do about it?" asked Zed.

"I dunno," said Star. "I tried the revenge path... but... Here I am. Spazura said that he was working for Pink Diamond. I spent a month learning about what Diamonds are. I tracked the Gem going to your world. Turns out that he's a hybrid. Pink Diamond had settled her life on his Earth."

"JESUS!!! JUST MAKE OUT ALREADY!!!" yelled Rick.

"Fuck off!" yelled Zed. "Wait..."

"What?" asked Star.

"Then why would he shatter the White Diamond?" asked Zed.

"Diamonds can't be shattered!" said Star.

"Wait, what?" asked Zed.

"Yeah... Not unless you're a god," said Star, shrugging.

"But Steven said Spazura shattered White Diamond," said Zed. "I read his mind. That's what he saw. That's what I saw."

"So... Spazura is a god?" asked Star.

"No..." said Zed.

Rick's eyes widen.

"Oh my God..." said Rick. "I know what we need for the rune to enter the dreamscape... That was Spazura's original plan!"

Rick lively draws in the sand.

"What?" asked Zed.

"The final ingredient!" yelled Rick. "You see, this rune is a rune drawn by King David of the Israelites which he used to enter other Universes. Multiple King Davids ruled the Omniverse as a council of infinite variants. This happened because of the Variant Event. An Event caused by Barry Allen of Earth-Prime-1, Loki of Earth-Prime-616, and Enrico Pucci of Earth D4C-Magic. They were the three timelines protected by the three Time Keepers as the Sacred Timeline.Then! It split, causing infinite possibilities to happen that may end with a Multiversal War! And it already happened with the Secret Crisis! At this moment... Batman and Spider-Man are battling Darkseid.Now, this rune? It works in many different ways. I use this rune to travel into any 3rd Dimensional Universe. But I can't just enter the 2nd Dimension.That's what Spazura was originally trying to do but failed... Because he thinks that Pink Diamond is shattered.But he's not."

"So... what does he need?" asked Star.

"First, he went to your Universe to try and use magic to revive his sister, Black Diamond, but he's dead.Second, he went to Steven's Universe to try and use Pink Diamond, the most powerful known Diamond next to Black Diamond. He failed because he thinks she's also shattered.He was using Diamonds to summon Bill.Only the two elder Diamonds, White and Black Diamond, could summon Bill Cipher into the third dimension. That's why Bill Cipher created White and Black Diamond! They're the only ones that allowed Bill Cipher to exist in the 3rd Dimension! But Black Diamond was destroyed!"

"I have no idea what you're talking about," said Zed.

"We need to get out of here," said Rick. "I think I know how this version of the timeline is going to play out.We need to warn the hybrid."

"Steven?" asked Star.

"Yeah. Sure. Whatever his Earth name is," rolled Rick's eyes.

"We could use the rune!" smiled Star. "What do we do? Hex and Mewman ready Ayo to go!"

"No, we can't! I was bluffing! This thing is useless without a second rune or a device that automatically places runes in another dimension for you to travel into," said Rick. "I need a Fortisite Drill-..."

A Fortisite Bio-Droid enters the room.

"Hey! Chop-chop! We're not paying you with mercy to chat like little high school girls!" yelled the Bio-Droid.

Rick sneers terrifyingly.

"Uh... Rick?" asked Zed. "What are you-?"

Rick punches the Bio-Droid in the face and presses buttons on its crotch as he tears out his robot penis as black oil splatters all over his terrifying smile.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!" howled the Bio-Droid in pain. He then uses some of his robot organs to rebuild his portal gun. He types in the rune into the new portal gun.

"HAHAHAHAHA!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!" laughed Rick. "THANK YOU, GOD!!!"

"YES!!!" laughed Zed. "YOU BELIEVE IN GOD!!!"

"What? Psh... No, I don't," said Rick. "Baka God-sama."

Rick opens a portal as they jump out of the place. Rick then opens a portal on the ground as they all leave.

The radio on his chest turns on.

"KSH... Opeth. What's wrong?"

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!! FUCK OFF!!!"

"Alright! Sheesh!" yelled the guy on the other line.
