Adrien x Foreign Exchange Student! Reader

(A/n)- You will be from Japan in this oneshot. I just thought to myself, "Huh, why not put my romaji skills to the test?" Also, people say youre disrespecting the Japanese by speaking in their language wih English. That's not exactly what I'm doing since some of the sentences will be in Japanese with no English. You know what I mean hopefully. Ok. Have fun reading!

"Sayonara!"

You waved goodbye to your parents as the plane departed. You were on your way to Paris, France to study (F/s). It would be some odd hours until you got there.

You entered the classroom, your (E/c) eyes scanning your surroundings. You knew English, so communicating with your peers would be easy. The teacher looked at you and smiled.

You thought of what to say. Your native language was easier to speak. It practically fell off your tongue.

You smiled back and said, "Kon'nichiwa. Watashinonamaeha (Y/n)desu." She laughed and nodded her head. "Of course. You're the new exchange student from Japan. If I'm not mistaken, you just said your name was (Y/n)?"

You nodded your head and gasped. "You know Japanese?", you asked her. She nodded her head and chuckled.

"But," She started, "I'm afraid my students do not." You smiled and said, "No problem! I can speak both languages." The bell rang and she introduced you.

She told you to sit at the front by a blonde boy named Adrien. There was extra space at his bench with his friend. You sat down and greeted them.

"Hi."

They looked at you and repeated the same thing. You all turned to the teacher and listened. "Ok, class. You all know we have a foreign exchange student, but there's something that ties that to our lesson."

Everyone gave confused grunts at her information. "This week, we'll be studying different cultures. I will assign you and your bench mates a certain country, and you will write a report on that country. Or, for extra credit, you could put on a play and such instead.", she explained. You gave glances to your fellow seat mates.

The blonde boy turned to you and the boy with the cap. "We got this in the bag. We can put on the most spectacular play ever. What do you think?" He turned to his friend.

"Ok by me, man."

You forgot to respond in English. "Hai." You covered your mouth and said, "Gomen'nasai." You giggled before clearing your throat.

"What I meant to say was ok.", you clarified. They both looked at you weirdly but left it as the teacher walked over. She placed a piece of paper on your table.

(I'm going to make everything ironic, so the place you'll be studying is Japan.)

You flipped the paper over to reveal a flag with a red dot in the center with Asia written under it. At a closer look you saw Japan written under it. You silently cheered at the ironic circumstances.

You went to work with your partners, taking glances at the blonde boy. He looked cute/hot in your opinion. You realized you didn't know his name.

You glanced at the paper he was writing on and saw his name. it read. He turned his head to you, starting to speak.

"Hey, would you like to come over to my house later this afternoon? Nino has already made plans at Alya's. We'll need to get a boost on this project if we want it to be spectacular.", he gestured. You blushed and nodded your head. "Sure, I'd like that." You went back to work until it was lunch time.

You sat by Adrien, being sure to keep quiet. You didn't want to mess up by saying something in Japanese. So, lunch was calm until Adrien spoke.

"It's really cool how much you know about Japan."

You blushed at his compliment. "Well, I lived there practically my whole life, so it makes sense." You laughed nervously. "O-oh, right. I'm sorry. I totally forgot.", he admitted.

You dismissed it with a shake of your hand. "It's ok.", you assured. You both went back to eating until lunch was over.

You went back to class and went back to work.

As days passed, you realized you had feelings for Adrien. He was perfect in all ways. Today you planned on confessing.

Adrien invited you to come over for the project. You calmed your nerves down and approached his house. You pressed the bottom and Nathalie let you in.

When you got to Adrien's room, you knocked on the door. He opened it and welcomed you in. You walked in and nervously sat down on one of the chairs.

"So, any ideas?"

You turned to him and nodded your head. "We could make it like a tourist attraction where I'm the the guide and you and Nino are the tourists." You looked hesitant until you saw him nod his head.

"Yeah, that sounds cool." You sighed in relief as he came towards you. He sat down and looked at you.

"What could we say?", he asked. You thought of different things and how to word them. You mind went into overdrive until you shook your head.

"Too many ways to go about it.", you joked. You thought for a moment. "We could go over where important landmarks are and what foods are popular this time of year.", you suggested.

"Yeah, I like that.", he agreed. It was silent and awkward for a minute. You shifted in your seat, thinking now was the perfect time.

"Hey, Adrien?"

He looked at you. "Yeah?", he questioned. You cleared your throat and took a deep breath.

"Watashi wa, anata o aishiteimasu."

He looked at you pizzled. "What does that mean?", he asked. You facepalmed at realizing you forgot to say it in English.

"I love you."

He looked shocked for a moment but then took your hands in his. "I love you too, (Y/n)." He averted his gaze from yours for a moment.

"Hey! That's what we should do for the play!"

(A/n)- I know this isn't at all a good oneshot. But if you want a part 2, please comment so below. Thanks for reading! Bye for now!
